@ Radi8 & Nokta:
The EXPANSION PACK and the XPACK (which is the same) are the names of the pack napalm made and no one else . No one else can use that name for an additional package, name it completely different.

You re doing piracy right now, and that is illegal.

As I stated in one of these threads. I would suggest you use names other than Mod_Pack, which is specific to Reagent X's pack that contains maps only.

Or,
using something called XPack or Expansion Pack. Which is a standardized set of creative elements for the game. Thusfore expanding the capabilities of map making, and the game playing experience.

Call it Nokta's Supplemental Art Collection or something unique to you. This make it clear that it's different stuff (which may be included in a future xpack) and it also gives credit to the creator or the collector who publishes that collection for the rest of the people to enjoy.

Also;
I deleted your changes thread because your calling it a mod pack and the downlod file is still named xpack. Please change them both and make a new thread.

Now I'm the file police too!

In this case radi8 is just copying the name of an existing package... Nothing reall special... He didnt do it on purpose maliciously

I think all these different "packs" are most confusing. Hard to keep track of them all and get the latest updates. Maybe all modders could agree on a "master update" that goes for public download every 3 months or so on a clearly visible link on PTT. Just a suggestion.

As far as I am concerned Nap's X-Packs are the official TT packs - end of, install this and you are good to go.

If people have contributions perhaps it would be better to include these additional items as part of the official X-Packs which is what Nap did with the X-Pack 4, although Nap gathered the majority of things many people contributed their objects, skies etc to X-Pack 4 in order top avoid what has happened with Rad and Nokta.

If there are new objects etc to accompany a new mod then include them with the predownload apart from that it feel its is entirely the wrong thing to be releasing additional so called X-Packs, and besides the one I checked from Rad had errors in it when unzipped and the copntent was dissapointing to say the least.

I have not figured out the reasoning of making a partial xpack, forget what name it is, whats with making one in the first place. I understand he did it with everyones best interest and only was trying to help. But to collect mods and stuff that have a place to go already like the xpack and mod pack I find some what odd.. I know not all the mods ppl make ever make it to the mod pack, but those are mods that don't get played by the majority of players because of that. I can understand nokta doing it although he needs to name it nokta's preload. He doesn't add his to regents mod pack for some reason. And most scripts are released as soon as they are done and hosters and modders snap those up as fast as they can. I have I bet almost every script that has been released in the last 1.5 years and there updated versions after debugging. A pack with scripts in it as well as other stuff I find useless to me. Sry I know this was done for good reasons, just not a good idea, We all have bad ideas every now and then. Hummm don't we?

I can see why people are doing this. RX (no offense) hasn't been updating his mod pack very frequently. And many new shapes, tetxures, etc. Have come along since the last xpack. People want their mods to be seen. Many times nobody goes to certain people's mods since they have to wait for a load, even though they already have the xpack and modpack. For example, I emailed my mods to Rx about 6 months ago, requesting that they be added to the pack, but they were never added. True, nobody ever played on them. But tons of people joined my server, they just didn't want to wait the load, so they left.
