Many of you have probably been wondering why Warfare© hasn't been on PTT lately. To tell you all the sad truth, Warfare©'s parents have blocked this 17-year-old's Internet, leaving him isolated. So, Warfare© and I have been staying in touch, and luckily, him and I ran into each other tonight, and when decided to organize a sort of Scripting Team.

Warfare© and I will work together to full-fill all of your scripting Demands. So post here. Tell us what you want, and we'll do it! It seems that many of our scripters have been leaving, Art Crazy (no offense) has proven the opposite of dedicated to his scripts, and all-in-all, complaints of players becoming increasingly bored have caused us to start some major scripting and help.

I'm talking gametypes, new and improved versions of admin scripts, client based scripts, modding/scripting (combinations), anything you could think of. We will see what we can do. Please, just tell me in this thread or email me (not Warfare). This will hopefully give a spice to your guise's TT lifes! XD

This is no joke, I'm being serious. This isn't some thread that we made because we were bored and wanted people to like us. We want to leave a mark on TT.

Post Away! :)

Canned

P.S.

Warfare doesn't know about this part of my post. He is feeling a tad neglected. He feels almost like he and his scripts are worthless and nobody really appreciates him. He is an outstanding guy, and if you run into him, tell him you are liking his scripts, or something like that (don't be to apparent). This is also a way to keep him from leaving TT ( he planned on leaving until I convinced him otherwise.

To my dearest warfare and cannedsplam

...the way I see it, the game needs more gametypes, more gametypes using stock maps (stock just dressed up in a new guise - and preferably not lush, but thats only my personal opinion). And not overly complicated gametypes, just different scrum-variants which introduce more tactical play into games - like those mentioned above.

P.s I have to admit to quite liking jangles idea (kindof like ctf but with 2 randomly spawned team-specific goals and no wait time to score)

Yours grovellingly

Jangles version = Tons of BM.

Pray to GOD for him to reveal himself to you.

What's wrong with BM? :P. Yes, that would be a fun idea. But I have an idea to modify it: There should be a wait time in the goals, maybe just 2 or 3 seconds, but enough to keep it from being like 2-way scrum.

Is that not just ctf with changing goals? I think the idea is that it IS just two-way scrum

Hey, I just want to know..

At the end of the.mis file, whats the code I add to spawn a scrumball?

As for a script...

How about... A gametype called siege.

There are two castles, each with a scrum of their color and a goal of their color, deep in the castle.

The team of one castles objective is to steal the other castle's scrum, and put it in their own goal, and vice versa, how 'bout it? Might be pretty interesting.

LGM

^ I like that idea. I was thinking along similar lines.

Two teams each hold territory at the beginning of the game, with something like pillboxes to allow them to defend it (in addition to tank weapons). If players from the opposite side approach, the pillboxes let them have it. They have unlimited ammo, but can only shoot a limited # of shots at a time. They are well armored and difficult to kill.

As the teams battle, they try to kill and take the other team's pillboxes. Once they do, the pills change from one team to the other. The game would end when one team loses all its pillboxes and the territory that goes with them.

Perhaps a scrum goal like Legendary's idea would end the game...

(By the way, the scenario is basically the idea of the old mac tank game, Bolo.)

I think it could be done by modifying a boss ufo and giving them a high fire rate, with normal damage and 360º fire coverage. Kinda like Madbots, but stationary or nearly stationary like in Impossible Odds.

This would take some work I believe...

I wanted non moving bots awhile ago.

But I wanted them to be Towers

Can't anybody fix that Wingman script? Make it so that it works accurately, and cuts out when the regular 30 sec game clock pops up. I don't care about frames per second, also.
