And you would be one lonely old man one day, without anyone to share things with.
It's a mixed bag of nuts at my house. My kids love thehgame of course because their kids.
My son plays pretty good for a 6 year old.
My daughter like the bouncies, primarily because their pink.
My wife doesn't understand the attraction, she thinks I spend too much time with the game, hosting, leagues, being an admin, modding, and playing. But she also knows I need something to do after the hose goes to bed. Ss she is half heartedly supportive. She feels this is my time but could probably be doing something better with it.
She does support the modding a bit more because of the creative outlet it supplies.
Laughs at me when I get pissed and start swearing for whatever reason.
I guess I should probably laugh at myself too.

My parents think it's a waste of time....but of course they don't play any video games =P..but they watch cruddy TV shows that are a waste of time, so it evens out.
But I'm gonna keep playing until I can't stand it %) XD
@Napalm
Thanks for the photo... Now I keep chuckling even though I'm not looking at it... LOL!
Well I dont think I will be lonley :P

Similar sitch here with my wife. Her tolerance of my playing games in general, not just TT, seems to go in waves. Sometimes she's OK with it, and other times it bugs the crap out of her. There have been times we've gotten into some tiffs over it, because I feel I can do whatever I like on my own time. She feels it could be better spent doing more productive stuff. But I think she understands and accepts that I will play some games on at least a casual basis for a good many years to come. I can't change that about myself or I guess I don't want to change it.
@Eagle- with those kinds of aspirations, you're going to end up becoming the comic book guy on the Simpsons.

Good point Zenigata. Like it's less of a waste of time to watch Reality Shows?
If you ever cacth my tank acting 'crazy' all of a sudden, it's because Lucy, who's 3, has assumed the controls. She likes going backwards and cliff diving.
My wife thinks its a little pathetic but I pretend to read Proust in front of her the rest of the time.

Mum : Says I spend way too much time on my computer, but after ive done some work she stopps moaning
Dad : Is amazed how I MOD and Skin TT and if I am MODDING or SKINNING at the time he is watching me he doesnt mind me on the computer, he think it is creative. I let him play a few times, so If im doing a bit crap then my dad is playing :D
Sister : Asks me to get off so she can play, her name is "X-FactorChick-X"

YAY I GET TO BE THE SIMSONS!! Yay I cant wait till I grow up now! :P

My mom says what I do at this point is pretty much up to me, along with my father. They are happy as long as I have a plan to take care of myself in the future. My two little sister's really don't care, they are more into what's going on at school. My two little brothers don't care either, one of them is the sportsy type, and the other plays more violent games.
Even if I couldnt play, would I quit?
Cloud
My wife thinks it's a great and safe outlet for my energies
(safer than what? Topless bars? Hehe)
My granddaughter loves to mod!
And my 5 yo grandson likes to play the Heavy!
And me?
Even after a year, even though somtimes this game frustrates me to no end
I still love it

My granddaughter loves to mod!
What?! I used to think I was "old" for this game! Or at least "wondered". :P
Wow!! Sounds good Roo XD

@Napalm,
haaaaaaa..........haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..........................haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :P
My sides are splitting :P
BRAVO...........BRAVO...........BRAVO!!!
... Now Where would I be withought Videogames???
I'd be running arround the neighborhood looking for trouble since there's nothing better to do! XD (I'd be a flat out Tomboy... Whattever that means to me :P )
Anyways, I started my gaming carreer at age 5 (Mario Bros ofcourse, loved it, couldn't get enough of it ;) )
And since then, I've been an all game fanatic, and my Mother knows that full well, and she knows it's hopeless to drag me out of my favorite habit! (the main thing I do when I hang out with my friends anyway)
My Father doesn't really care as long as my grades stay at an over all B average :P
And.. Well.. Most of the time they r too buissy fighting to even worry about me XD
But they still love me ;)
**..::I am thoroughly...
amused:::..**
My mommy says I play way to much. I use to play at least 4 hours a day XD :P B)
My wife dislikes it, because I spend so much time on it. One of my nephews loves it, and the idea that I'm going to be showing him what I know so far in hosting/modding etc, but he thinks I'm a bigger kid than he is. :P He's Probably right XD Everyone else? Well, they say they are "too busy" for "games". :S That's a bit disheartening, considering that was the ultimate goal in "modding" etc. For me. To have a really cool family hangout. Oh well. :(
My wife tolerates as long as I maintain limits (hard) and wait (not always) until the "bunchkins" are in bed. When my wife tells our older boys to get off PS2, they lament "but Dad gets to play think tanks all nite". I usually then lol and I get the sinister look from mom. My youngest daughter, where part of my TT namesake comes from, loves to sit with me and watch. She laughs uncontrollably when someone's brain goes flying. :)
That sounds familiar, dlael...
My mom hates the game. She says that she would rather see me taking my interests in computer programming, not playing TT every week-end. My sister would rather hang out w/ her boyfriend than hear me swear off of the top of my lungs!!! The game gets under my skin sometimes, but the triumph I get when someones brain goes flying off into the cosmos is what really keeps me playing.... ;)
My mom and dad tolerate it, but sometimes they yell at me about how I should be doing things that do more than melt my brain. Personally, I don't care what they think, because after I get off, they get on, and proceed to do "brain-melting stuff" like checking their email, surfing the web, and checking up on the sports scores.
I'm kind of getting sick of their need to control my gaming habits - they won't let me play violent shooting games because they believe that I will aspire to be like the super juggernauts on those games and blow up everything in my path whenever I feel like it. I've proven them wrong so far by getting A+'s in Math, English, and Social Studies, and I have no desire to enter the hitman industry anytime soon.
Our Social Studies teacher actually gave us an assignment to play America's Army to experience what war is really like. My parents decided that they didn't trust me when I told them it was an assignment and made a big cow. When they called the SS teacher, though, they recieved a shock when he confirmed my homwork. I didn't talk to them for three days afterwords.
What I'm trying to say is, my parents don't care about what I'm playing so long as it's not realistic, gorey, bloodey, or violent and provoking in any way whatsoever. That is to say, they pride themselves in monitoring my every computer habit and try to convince me it's for my own good.
My wife always moans that I am playing that "stupid cartoon tank game again".
I have a brand new baby daughter - 10 days old - and I find I can play one handed, holding her in one arm and steering with the other, but no shooting of course. Scored a few goals with this method - but at least I am on the field.
My dogs (staffies) like lying next to me when I play, waiting for me to go out an throw a ball for them.
Good thing about the game is I have met so many people from around the world, and as a result of sending and recieving emails - so has my wife - so it sort of makes it easier to justify "catching up with my freinds on TT" until there is a pooey nappy to be changed etc......

I was reading some topics, and it seems like we have lots of them that are "I'm leaving" or "I'm taking a break". I got wondering about what other people in your life think of your ThinkTanks habit. My wife and daughter think it's silly of me to like TT so much, but they're willing to put up with it if I don't spend too much time on it.
So my question for you is, what do the other significant people in your life think of your TT habit? You could include wife, husband, kids, parents, girlfriends, boyfriends, pets, or whatever. What do they think of TT?
