I was just double checking if ther was a way to make it so that the skins on your tank, the other people could see, I know that it hasn't been able to be done in the past, but modders have done so much crap recently, I think this should be no problem. Is there a way to like put ur skins in a server file, so that way if your in a mod you made, other peeps can see your skins?...Basically heres the point:

I want to know if the hosters tank can look different than all the others, and have it look like the hoster wants it too.

Is there a way that could be done? I was thinking that I could do some funky thing that whoever is host is like a robber skin, and everyone else is trying to find him and destroy him. I can disable or screw up the radar for everyone, and I can make some awesome weps and soon some emitters, but I want to see first if I can get the skins universal.

Just a pain to download the skin with the tank X/

Navigate to your skin and copy it along with a file named tank01.dts

Make a new folder and call it whatever you want

Go into your new folder and hit paste to paste your skin with the tank

Go to the mission you want to load your tank with

At the very bottom write this:
lighttank.shapefile = "**wherever your folder is **/tank01.dts

How long of a download (estimate) on a normal everyday modem would it take? Couldn't you just predownload?

If you predownloaded, the skins would become client side , meaning you can edit them. When you are downloading skins off a server, they are server side until you finish the download. By then, you would be too engrossed in the game to edit them--plus you have to restart TT to see the edited versions.

Well to be honest, since I took a break from this game, when I came back for some strange reason the download bar would suddenly stop when I was loading a mod %) litle did I know at the time it was downloading something so I figured it was broken and went to a different mod. The only mod I used to go to after that was survivor, and Repents mountain fortreses (That mod was wicked awesome). I still havn't gotten an answer though. Predownloading would be bad because of the editing, but how long is the download for the new tank and skin. If it's too long then I wont do it cause we dont need another lng downloading mod out there!
