I thought it was intresting. Seems like a lot to learn, maybe when I have time I will be able to use it more effectivly. Its great and free. I say get it. Its free, and seems to work well. Compares to a lot of software you can buy.

Not a bad 3d modeler. It lacks some basic things like the ability to move along an axis no matter what (at least, I havent found somthing like that yet) and the ability to bevel somthing, but overall, a very powerful tool. What really caught me was the overwhelming ablity to make textures. That compares and might even pass 3D studio or Maya. After I figured it out I was able to make this in about 20 mins.

No automatic or edge/verticie specific bevels. It would be a little hard to try and do it by hand.

Oh man! I LOVE Google Sketchup. I use it a lot for work - even the free version is good enough for me. I have told many colleagues about it and they are using it too. Amazing software for free.

Just sit through a few of the tutorials and it will all make sense pretty qiuckly.

Yeah, I love it. The push/pull tool is what impresses me the most; makes things so much easier
