Forums Index >> General >> Forum Rules!

I think a Rule Book for EVERY section of the forums should be made, IT will be LOCKED so no-one can post but Admins/Mods have to make it Sticky.

By having these Rule Books, n00bs cant say I dont know the rules, there not written down anywere, there were no warnings. So by adding this RuleBook, We/US can say there are rules, Read them!

RTFM - Read The F**king Manual

Thats a great idea Pedro.

The guys who actually have some say within this community 'ought to be speaking with the individuals who can and have the ability to steer these forums into another direction. Guys like DanMac and 56KLM.Guys who can throw in a few extra php-scripts to ensure the regular and well-respected members don't haft to but up with the daily bullshit that goes on here. But it's obviously its not happening, for various reasons I'm about to speculate.

Ill just speak in broad terms for a second.

This community actually houses quite a few regular members. Intelligent and thoughtful members with big hands. Given that, naturally there is always a constance of great debates or any other general discussion about todays happenings going on in the forums. This forum is and isn't exactly a place where we talk about the aspects and tangibles of TT, organizing leagues, and the rest of the above, as much as it a place for virtually generalized-discussion. From political discussion-to any other silly topic you can think of. I'm not saying this is the ABS debate-forum, or any other popular community-based website. But, naturally, thats what its slowly becoming A place for more of a generalized-community, and partly Thats pretty much what its always has been.

Perhaps the DanMacs feel as though if any serious changes were made, that would subsequently lead them in that directionA more of a generalized-community, and partly take away from PTTs substance and backbone. Maybe thats not the direction they want this website to go in. But then again...

Look it, even if you do add a few more moderized apsects to the forums doesn't mean you are going to throw off the websites chemistry. I think this website has a huge amount of potential. Torque-based-games seem to becoming more apparent on the map each week. Who knows what will happen when BT submits their second thoughts on ThinkTanks. I think a few changes to the future of PTTs functionality are going to be vital.

And thats not even to mention what Pedro was basically asking for; his simple requests should be fine-tuned and implicated ASAP.

In regards to why the why the forums arent changing a bit. I also heard DanMac use the excuse that this is still -z-'s website. And he feels as though if -z- were to mysteriously return, then -z- would be extremely disgruntled by the fact that his abandoned vision is being manipulated and tarnished. If anything, I think -z- would be fascinated by the fact that new and almost mandatory ideas have being brought to the table. Just look at the reasons why Pedros idea came-up. A growing population.

We all know what that brings.

In conclusion:

BT is just hording DanMacs generoisty and using this online-community as another great reason to by there product. We are all marketing agents!!!!! AGaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaga!!!!!
