He's one of the most talented scrummers I've ever competed against. But unfortunately, he's also one of the most negative people I've ever come across.

I pity him...

Stealth, there is a select few of us who actually know and are respected by Anon. I, for one, have refereed two Tally Ho vs. Anon matches. (I'm sworn to privacy as to the outcomes of both matches, but suffice it to say, there will be a third match.) Anon is talented and I'm sure he beat your sore ass bad. His negativity only stems from his lack of respect for you.

Jangles, where I come from, respect is earned. Despite his skills with a scrum, Anon has not yet given me a reason to respect him, why the hell would I give a rats ass about weather or not he respects me. He's a bitter angry man whose heart is filled with contempt and hatred. I pity him, but would never affiliate myself with such a low life.

Take a look at all the things he's said and done in the GG forums. Look at all the people he's hurt right here in this community of online gamers. How could you possible respect that? Someone who finds enjoyment in the suffering of others. Like Saddam Hussein and his crazy sons. You respect that?

As far as his negativity stemming from his lack of respect for me, no... I'm sorry Jangles, but you're wrong about that. His negativity stems from a complete lack of respect for himself, which stems from a deep inner pain. The guy's a nut, he needs professional help! Seriously man, Medication! And lots of it! No joke... Get help!

As far as Anon outscoring me in scrum, it's true... He did, 6 rounds in a row. And like a fool, I fell for his taunting and lost the game psychologically. Like I said, he's one of the best scrummers in the game. But I wouldn't say my ass is sore. Pride, maybe... But not my ass. I learned a lot from my mistakes.

I had a conversation with the Tank Dork recently and he said something that I had a whole lot of respect for. He said, "I've never played to prove myself to anyone. I play for fun."

That was a real eye opener for me. I used to talk a lot of shit about how good I was and how many people I beat. I don't do that anymore. And I apologize to anyone I might've offended by saying those things in the past. Now, I just play for fun. I don't always outscore my opponents, but I do win every game, because I get all that I can out of each round. The people I meet and the knowledge I gain from this community make it all worth while.

Now, you just admitted to knowing the true identity of this person who goes by the name "anonymous". After all the damage that he's caused this community, I think you owe it to everyone to reveal the truth! Who is anonymous?

I've reinstalled TT's, but don't play nearly as much as I used to. Instead of 2 or 3 times a day, it's more like 2 or 3 times a month. I play for fun and that's about it. I have nothing to prove.

Now back to subject... Why don't you just tell us the truth. Let the cat out of the bag Jangy! You know the true identity of Anonymous, just tell us the truth man...

@everyone else, don't you agree that Tally or Jangy should come out and tell us the truth. As painful as it might be... Don't you think we derserve to know. Who's with me on this?

Even on the best player's best night, the randomness of spawns and other luck aspects won't confirm absolutely who is the best at this game. Thump yo chest all you want. It makes no difference.

Anyhow, ol' Brer Prey, the Great Equalizer, is on the case now. If he doesn't lose his cool at Bolo we may have it out soon. Who is this villian? MUAHAHAHA. (That sounds like Stealth, cat in the window seat.)

BTW, Anony showed up on the Frantic Slug the other night as TankSkank. He was exited, stage left. Then he returned as JesseJames. Exited. Then he returned as Zoon. Exited. Then he returned as HanstaTanksta -- with the copyright symbol even. Exited. Big mouth, rotten teeth.

I personally don't know that I care who Anon really is. I agree with you Stealth that he isn't someone anyone should respect simply because he has skill on the scrum field. He DOES have skill, there is NO doubt about that. I've been schooled by him on an occasion or two under his many names. I don't consider myself to be the greatest scrummer anyway, so it was no skin off my nose.

Regardless, skill alone does not a great person make. His foul mouth and nasty attitude are enough to convince me that he isn't someone I would ever respect, even if he was the undisputed champ of this game. You see, it's precisely because it's a GAME, not real life. At the end of the day, when I quit out of ThinkTanks, I'm secure in knowing that I'm a better person in the real world, where it actually matters, than Anon or anyone like him, because I don't need to sling mud at anyone I encounter inside a fantasy world to feel good about myself. I play this game because I enjoy the fun and good times. Winning or being the best is SO very secondary.

Jangles, I didn't read your statement above to Stealth to mean that you respected Anon; rather that he respected you and Tally and others. I'm hoping that is the case. Anon may be a great player from a skills point of view, but no-one should be encouraging someone with the obvious psychological issues he has to continue his slander and abuse here. He doesn't deserve respect from anyone until he stops being a child with a foul mouth. A little self esteem in the real world could do wonders for him in the online world. Then again, I fear it may be far too late for him to change his ways.

Quite right, OM. While my comment to Stealth was tongue-in-cheek, I wasn't lying about Anon's respect for Tally and I and a few others. In fact, I would say he is more than cordial to us. Obviously, some of that stems from our "Scrumability" (new TT jargon) but, is most probably due to his inclusion in some witty, late-night banter.

Ages ago, about nine of us had an intervention with Anon which prompted him to take down all his GG posts. Later, about four or five of us had a heart-to-heart and got to know the man and his inner workings a little better. That being said, I neither condone nor respect any of the abuse he has given or is still dishing out. And he knows that because I've told him so.

Also, Note this thread as well. Are you trying to say the "^" man is anonymous? Or are you still trying to cover his true identity. Just come out and say it man... WHO IS ANONYMOUS???

I dont think he is anyone else but anon....i doubt he is an alternate personality of a well known scrummer...his style is easy to spot...i, myself enjoy playing with him because I like good competition...when he keeps his mouth shut we have some enjoyable games...he isnt the best...there are at least 4 that are better...also stealth I see u on all the time...say hi next time...

If anyone seriously worries that some nimrod plays a video game better that they do, then I humbly suggest a reexamination of one's priorities. Yeah it's fun winning but mostly it's fun playing. If winning is your thing then you better get ready for LIFE because, as they say, you win some and lose some.

Jangles, how you could defend this Anon dude is beyond me. Tonight the kingpin shot me a virus over his server. That is not being impolite that's criminal--not cool at all. And if you disclose his name I will happily do what I can to see that a little justice is brought to bear. He can hone his fantastic scrum skills from inside a 9x8 cell as far as I am concerned.
