Use a heavy tank:
It is by far the best tank for scrum. Just wait in the goal while everyone else pointlessly chases the scrum carrier. If people yell at you for camping, kill them all. It won't be that hard ;)
Great. Now everyone know I like to prance ;)
Good tips Soapy.
Only thing I didn't like - you make it sound like camping is bad. Camping is very strategic, and is necessary in most TS games these days. Other than that, good start.
Camping is a good way to get 10 points in any TS game...its too easy for the master scrummer(s) (me...) XD
Use Campers to your advantage.
Simple.They help with logic.
How Can I Do This?
Usually, you hate them. But they do somthing important. They not only teach you some features of the map's terrain, but they make it fun, make you feel better after getting a goal. Usually all you need to do is fake them out.
Such as going up and stopping, making him fly right past you.
Oh someone spends too much time in shockwave
No one camps in banlist except demos really...so yea^ must be XD

@@@@@@@ PLEASE DO NOT MOVE TO TACTICS @@@@@@@@
This guide is a bunch of small tips, even some higher up scrummers can use these, but this is really meant to boost some awareess in scrum games
and real life.
Scrum - It's a simple game with a simple point to it, but its very challenging, aspecally for newcomers.
I would be giving all my tips, but I still need to be staying ahead of ya'll in scrum games. ;)
I've used these to beat 56k laggy, Jacques and others. (Nope, not you Cadc. You seem pretty under-rated for how you play)
Here are my tips:
==================================================
Be Aware of Terrain Features
ALWAYS keep in mind what ramps can get you into what goals, and what ramps CAN'T. Those CAN'Ts are an example of the hill in Medula Mesa, which the hill with the tree, the power-up and the bounce pad are. You bounce over the goal with that ramp, no matter at what speed.
How Can I Do This?
I like to do this, especally with roos/napalm's/dash's maps. When there is an empty server, dont play. Join in and see which ramps can get in which goals, which rocks you can bounce over, which hills let you slide past campers into the goal.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Learn Your Opponent(s).
This is the MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO!!!!!!!!
As you've noticed, some like LONEWOLF(UF) go in more straightforward, while those like jacues seems to prance around.
How Can I Do This?
Seem to observe them, even without the ball.
W/o the ball : See HOW they get to the flag. Do they do more turns, fancy shortcuts onto differant paths? Do they get between the goal and the ball as everyone is chasing it?
With the ball : See if they just play like a battering ram and try to go past the defense- the hard way, or if they take detours around defense, in paths that make no sense to the naked eye?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stop opponents from learning you.
As I was saying earlier, if they learn you, they learn your tactic.
Some simple tips to stop this:
How Can I Do This?
Try to mix it up. Never keep dancing around, or never go right in.
Try to do differant styles for diff plays, or even go in straightforwardly and prance to get past the defenders!

And, last but not least.
GET BETWEEN THE FLAG AND THE GOAL IF THERE IS A PACK OF MAD NUTS CHASING THE BALL!!! THIS DOES NOT MEAN CAMP, GET 75% CLOSE TO THE BALL, 25% TO THE GOAL!!!!!!!!!!

All these tips have made me thirsty for Scrum! C'yall and hoped you learned somthing!
