I always liked Henry, but is that correct quote?
Here's Ogden N:
I would live all my life in nonchalance and insouciance
Were it not for making a living, which is rather a nouciance.
That's great, JJ.
The Henry Gibson to whom I refer should not be confused with Henryk Ibsen. The comedian whose poetry I quote was a regular on Rowan and Martin's Laugh In.
Here's a limerick:
There was a boy named Thacker,
Whose favorite food was a cracker,
He ate and he ate,
And he put on some weight,
And now he's a Green Bay Packer
By Henry Gibson
There once was a man from nantucket...
Who drove a little red datson..
He said with a grin...
And a gallon of gas...
If my ear...hung out and he lost em.
No...wait...i get those two confused
Yea, Henry with flower power, good.
The rice wine, Stink. Avoid the juice of the kernel.
Ogden limerick:
There was a young lady called Harris,
That nothing could ever embarrass;
Till the bath-salts one day
In the tub where she lay
Turned out to be Plaster of Paris.
