Hi Mac Users,

I'm on OS 10.3.9,.

My laCie 200G disk needs to be initialised, having problems it's not mounting (have tried disk warrior to recuperate files but it's impossible).

My disk utility is going at it for last 8 hours, have tried, partitioning also. It seems to start and then get stuck. Any ideas or suggestions or better software than disk Utility by MAC.

LaCie commonly ships a program called Silver Lining with their external drives. Did you get it with yours?

Have you eliminated the cable or enclosure as the problem? You could also try it on another computer.

Thanks again BC, I used my old Ibook but has OS 10.4 and that disk utility did the job. I might even be able to rescue my data with diskwarrior on my laCie. Wow thanks for making me think about that. :)
