Page : <1> :

I was wondering what the record would be for the most consecutive hours played for ThinkThanks.
Obviously, it would have to belong to a kid who was out of school...right? I would bet on CADC or Racer because I've seen them on a lot.

In a previous job, I used to jump onto TT for quick games of scrum in the morning, lunch time, afternoon, evening when I got home and late at night. I would always see the same bunch of players online at all those times! I could only play in spurts (perhaps one game if lucky, sometimes just enough for a couple of goals!). These players were always on! I remember Cat always being in a CTF server.

Thanks to my new job, I can never play TT during the day and thanks to a new baby and two active boys and a wife who has had a series of surgeries and a side business and phone calls and visits from friends and family members I can only play a game or two late at night!
I am lucky if I have enough time to complete a full game without interruption. This has always been the case and explains why the Paisano comes and goes all the time during games. It also explains why some people started to think that I only quit games that I was losing, which is hogwash. I quit games that I am winning more often than the ones I am losing (because my teams almost always win). I understand the perception and changed the way I leave now. I now try my best to take the time to say G2G or BRB or BBL... Out of respect to fellow players. I used to leave the tank in the game with the hope that I'd come right back but that almost never happens which means my team is at a disadvantaged with an idyl tank.
Admins then have to boot me off the server for not playing. Now I just leave and come back if I can.

Anyway, what is the longest stretch that you've played TT? I remember once playing for 6 hours (9 PM to 3 AM) when the wife and kids were all asleep early and no one got up!!! I was dead tired the next day!

That's it? 6 hours?

Dude I played 13 hours one day early last year.

Wow... Did you take time to eat or go to the potty?
Was it all scrum or did you play other types of games too? CTF? BM>?

I am pretty sure LW set it last year - I think he went approx 24 hours.

Ive played scrum 10 hours straight with the neccesary toilet and food breaks

Yah. I took a 10 minute break for lunch (I had a big breakfast much earlier), a 3 minute potty break, then I grabbed a snack bag and ran back up the stairs with it.

Thankfully we had pasta for dinner! I ate that up fast and talked for 10 minutes or so, then ran back upstairs. (half hour) I ran downstairs an hour later for a cookie or two and went back to playing! (1 minute)

I played 3 games of TBM and the rest was mostly Indi Scrum. Later in the night I played a few team scrum games.

I have this all written down in a word file. A world TT record?

Lol! Given what you said ^^, I don't doubt it at all...

I'd love to do a marathon, but the job and all the kinds of things paisano mentioned get in the way...

I believe it. Good for you Racer!

I believe I have the record. Let me dig up the thread but I was on 26 or 28 hours straight, I think it was ! Here is the thread, where I talk about it and why I was on that long. Be sure to read the whole thread. We talk about it through out the thread and its only 1 page so not much reading ! B)

Wow, so I'm not so bad.

My gaming is interupted by clients, and wife luckily for me nothing else.

Thanks Pai for your explanations on your abrupt exits,,, yes some did say you left because of the score! I also split pronto when my wife comes home and I promised I wouldn't be playing TT while she was gone.... Dang Busted by my own admission. MY rule of THUMB used to be DENY, DENY And DENY even when busted, but now with wife I rather not get caught....hahaha.

PS I will install a hot key, like : CYA All wife is back, No ONE SAW me HERE TODAY! XD

@Wolf
Yup.. You da king of tt longevity!!!

@Delta
Yeah, some peeps still think that's why I leave games early but trust me it's never the case. I actually enjoy games where my team makes a big comeback!!! Blowouts get old real fast...no matter which side you're on.

Another false perception of the Paisano (don't ya hate it when someone refers to themselves in the third person!) is that I am a hothead. While it is true that I am a firey Italian with intense passion and extremely competitive, I never get any angrier than anyone else. If anything, I will be grumpy sometimes because of the day I've had and not happy about the fact that I can't even have enough "ME" time to play my silly tank game. I also used to complain a lot about uneven teams but that got the label of "Whiner" or ask KentuckyKillBlly called me, Whinsano...lol. I no longer mention uneven teams...I just switch or leave if things don't get adjusted fast enough. I'm not into those types of ego boosting methods (not anymore anyway..lol).

Ooh, The hands on technique.....
Audio of these pics;

Photo 1, Now remember this is the center of your Sexual self down here, as you can feel you're too laid back, you should be in more of a prone athletic position.

Photo 2 Now , I'm holding you here , the center of your complete self to give you back the much needed YIN/YANG ENERGY balance you need.Your TT experience has Totally drained you of it. Don't do these long sprints anymore OK, Or you'll be back in my office every week.

Doctor thinks to himself, Dang I need a pair of undies like this guy.

Next patient please ! ;)

Most I ever did was one crazy Sunday
It was quite a ways back - perhaps a year ago
Played virtually non stop for 14 hours
When I finally broke off and went to bed the game sounds
and sights were still playing in my head
Real wackadoo dreams that night

Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at 11:19:46 PM

I once won 30 games of scrum in a row....thats waaay to long. I usually take breaks if playing more than a coupld hrs

Longest I played was at the convention.
I drove home with Nuts.
Rooster left with two women.

There's gotta be a joke in there somewhere but I'm just not seeing it. :(

Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 5:13:56 AM

^ LMAO :P
Sounds like you got the wrong end of the stick my friend. XD

Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 5:18:03 AM

Lets see Bolo.. (15 minute rounds)*((30 wins)+(110 losing warmup games))/(60 min/hr) = 35 hours. Wow! That's a lot of playing. Just kidding...

There's an additional joke here too, but I've got nothing either. KBC, perhaps we should sign up for comedic refresher courses in the continuing ed. Department at the community college.

...I stayed on for 42 hours straight the first week I had this. Sounds impossible, but I did it. I even recorded it, I will post it once I find out how to post videos on here.

Did your opponents -- specifically, Ri, Hum, Gul, Tom, or Mal -- get tired?

Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 1:39:15 PM

@Bolo, 30 wins in a row... Against bots? How in the heck did you find the right server? Hell, I set a record with Bolo the other night... We went to 30 different servers trying to find one he liked! XD

Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 1:51:31 PM

^hahaa XD

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 2:02:57 PM

It could be true KKB,

I've once won 58 games

Of indy scrum in a row...

But that was way back when

I was smoking and drinking.

So im not sure after all, N/M.
