I am a gonna get a kick@$$ computer in ::counts days till college:: 3 1/2 years!
Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.
AGP style? Odd choice. I would have gone with PCI-E as it's newer, but grats!
You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.
I built mine around a year ago and recently made some upgrades within the past month, check it out... Note I had a budget and went for the cheap parts.
Ubuntu Breezy Linux

512MB memory (DDR333 SDRAM)
12.1-inch TFT Display
1024x768 resolution

^^ Good point Cloud.
The PC above would be good for 3D Autocad drafting - and full on Engineering applications like finite element analysis etc.
I need it to run, Maya, 3ds max 7, and Unreal ed, so I need all the hp I can get. I could really put ^^ to good use.
