Firsly, I would like to thank "killinbraincells" for helping me get this working.

Secondly, welcome to my new terrain mods!

When you download the zip files with the stuff in them, extract EVERYTHING to your missions folder. Most extraction programs will automaticly create subfolders.

THAT'S RIGHT. EXTRACT EVERYTHING TO YOUR MISSIONS FOLDER! It should all automaticly make a new folder called "nathan_ter". Please leave this folder be, it contains files necessary to my mods! If your extraction program doesn't make a new folder, let me know. That's why you should use WINZIP or WINRAR.

I hope you enjoy my new terrain!

All my new terrains can be downloaded at my terrains page. Go there by CLICKING HERE!

Hmmm I can not wait to try it!... SOmetimes though when I load a MOD just in the middle liek in loading objects when it is done there is no lag no nothing the curser is FAST, and I waited for 10 minutes to go get a snack I come back and it is still there... I don't know what was going on but... Well you know whats going on??? I hope this one is not like that all the kool MOD's I can not go into... :( :[

Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 7:34:45 PM

It does that when the files are downloading. You need to sometimes wait up to 40 minutes. The reason I'm posting my terrain files is so you don't have to wait for it to load, it's almost instant.

Here are the screenshots I promised:

It's a level fit for thinktanks. Fog surrounds the island stopping you from leaving the assigned area. Foliage dots the isle, and strategic spawn points make for a challenging game of scrum.

To ensure a fast load, please download the necessary files from my FIRST post on this thread. (The top.)

Lol, your still using my old difference cloud negative? Lol. The very first skin I EVER made and he still has it. Nice...

Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 8:18:16 PM

No, that's a skin I made long time ago. I had it posted here, but the upload has long expired. I have a bright green one and a bright red one for the heavy that look like that. WIth dark and light splotches.

But lets keep this on topic please.

Is that like a leaf in the lower left hand corner of the screenies?

Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 8:21:12 PM

That's the Norton internet security security monitor thingy. When you double click it, it comes out and you can see security alerts, ect.

LET'S KEEP THIS ON TOPIC lol.

Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 8:23:12 PM

I swear its a leaf... %)

Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at 3:19:09 AM

Is it a map mod?

Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at 7:26:23 PM

Yes, this is a map mod. If you had looked at the screenshots, you would realize that the terrain is new.

I swear its a leaf...

It's half of a globe with wireframe lines on it. If I drag it to the other side of my window, it looks like a normal globe. (Wow, so magical.)

Hey everyone :) I hope you've been enjoying my first new terrain.

Well, I just made a new one called Nate's Valley . This shameless plug... Err, fantastic level ;) uses default TT lush terrain. The level is just like a normal lush level with rolling hills, plains, rocks and trees, except this level is very large.

It is definately not for scrum, this is purely a battlemode map.

Here is a screenshot:

To ensure fast load times, go here and download "natesvalley.zip". As always, extract the files to your MISSIONS folder. It should automaticly create a new "nathan_ter" folder, or if you already have one from my first terrain, it will simply add files to it. Please do not extract to "nathan_ter", or things will mess up. Remember, Extract to your MISSIONS FOLDER!

I hope to see you in this new level soon!

Very nice! I really like the sniping hill, and your secret cliff hiding spot! I'll have to stop in and see this one too. :)

Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 2:20:36 AM

Thanks. I didn't put as much effort into the second one I think, because it kinda shows. Hopefully it's not that bad though. ;)

Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 2:49:45 AM

Nate I couldnt c the first terrain cause, even though I downloaded it into the right file, I had to wait

Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 10:26:16 AM

Also wat are the outskirts of both terrain gonna look like?

Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 10:27:53 AM

Your first comment: You obviousley did something wrong then. Follow directions EXACTLY. Don't put the ZIP file in the missions folder, extract the files IN the zip file to the missions folder.

You second comment: They are isles surrounded by fog. You can't leave the isle.

My second comment: I saw both levels today so nvm

My first comment: tanks 4 straitening tat out 4 me

1 more question: though I tink tis is relted to my first comment, is there a way to put these maps in servers bye other people that u?

Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 8:00:07 PM

Yes, but I would appreciate it if you didn't use them in your own servers.

Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 9:30:14 PM

Ok. But when can we? O! O! Nates newest terrain will b "Icy Tundra"

Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 10:31:12 PM

Yup, that's right! And, here it is!

Welcome to Icy Tundra! This level is made up of large chunks of ice and snow, broken and cracked up. Jump pads are used to cross the large chunks. Pretty fun for scrum, and challenging for battlemode.

As always, you can download this new terrain by going here, or you can join the server and wait for the files to download automaticly. If you are having problems with the zip file on my site, it would be best to wait at my server.

This server is up NOW, and I hope to see you all there!

Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 10:58:43 PM

Hmmm, are those the terrains from Orbz?

Friday, June 25, 2004 at 12:01:40 AM

Youre right michael. I played the orbz demo once, plus nathan likes orbz much more that TT

Friday, June 25, 2004 at 12:14:08 AM

Not anymore, I can't mod orbz because of some technical errors ;)

What terrain should I make next? I need ideas.

Friday, June 25, 2004 at 1:01:29 AM

Friday, June 25, 2004 at 10:09:54 AM

I'm not sure, I still need to work on Michael's and Ishbuu's terrain (which I can't give any details at this time), but when that's done, I should make a new one. I might take the beach idea, it's a good one.

New Terrain in Creation!

This one isn't anywhere near completion, but here is a sneak peek of Ridgid Meadow

Here it is, ridgid meadow, the highly anticipated new terrain be meeeee! Heh, ok. This level is composed of a large crater with steep sides, with a meadow in the center. There is some land around the edges, so I'll hide some spawn points around there :)

This is a shot of the terrain in development, so this isn't up yet. Hopefully sometime tomorrow.

Comments please! Keep this thread alive!

Thursday, July 08, 2004 at 4:25:35 AM

Never mind, I got it :)

I have made two terrains, Mountain and Rally Race.

Thursday, July 08, 2004 at 2:57:17 PM

Heh ;)

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

Thursday, July 08, 2004 at 6:11:50 PM

Racer, can you tell me? You know my email address. XD

Thursday, July 08, 2004 at 6:59:23 PM
