X-Terminators vs. Teddy Bears

Game1

Game2

We played a round of 3 on 3 against the Bears, as Bolo didn't make it. Pedro, Tally & I played in game 1 & Tally gave up his place to Roo in game 2. Both hard fought games. GG's All!

Wednesday, June 01, 2005 at 7:33:45 PM

@ Pedro

Actually it's easier to find the screens here & doesn't use up bandwidth to load the other page.

Wednesday, June 01, 2005 at 7:35:42 PM

Suppose so MP, But what about in a years time we reflect on the year and remember o yeah, PSL8.5 - named by Pedro - Wonder were the screenies are... We have the Main Thread but no screenies, What a shame XD

I especially like game 2 as I came top. But there were a few tricky bits in game 2 were we were trailing behind but then Roo got into the swing of things!!

Green = X-Terminators
Blue = Teddy Bears

I took no screenies but man I sure was cracking up. I think it was like 3-2 Ed's and then 6-6. It took 12 minutes for either team to score a goal in game one.

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.

Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.

Wednesday, June 01, 2005 at 7:43:43 PM

Yup there aere a few bottleneck as rogue predicted.
I had lots of fun. Whole lot of shooting going on.
Special Ed's Won trhe first, Tied the second. Close on both games.
We had 5 players a side show so Rogue and I decided to go 5 on 5 so everyone could play!

If they can find the main thread im sure they can find the screenie thread. Don't have any pics but the Fun Guys and Melted Snowballs split the two games, each decided by just a point. Very intense.

Wednesday, June 01, 2005 at 7:45:24 PM

Wow what a close pair of games. I don't think the point spread was ever more than 2. Everybody showed on time and the game started at 9:35. Smooth!

Thursday, June 02, 2005 at 3:55:33 AM

Wow Close games! BC did you make a video??

Week #2: X-Terminators vs. Melted Snowballs

Very good games tonight. Played on Lonewolf Mountain Scrum. A very large map with lots of arrows, pads and extreme terrain. The scores were lower than usual because it took a long time to get to the goal. Very challenging and interesting games. Different than normal. Will be interesting to see what strategies work well on that map as it gets played more.

Game 1: Tie

Game 2: X-terminators

Kind of a couple of jacked games. Looked like it was going to ba 4 vs 2 and Memphis just made it in making it 4 on 3. My best guess is Bolo had some issues with either the expansion pack or the map.

We really just ended up playing for fun. Scorchers get both games.

That tank is attrooooooooooocious.
You beat us wearing that? :)

Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at 7:49:17 PM

Lol, ya thats the "Lady Killer" tank by rhubarb, or is it Rabban? I love that skin, tanks really stand out in game.

X-Terminators vs. Special Eds

Game 1

Game 2

Great games tonight. First one was close the whole way. The second one, well.....

Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 7:30:20 PM

Napalm - I am impressed. I was certain that the game would bog down at the aerial goals with one team defending the only path to them. I don't know if you added more paths to the aerial goals or if I was just wrong with my initial judgment. I would be interested in playing a team game there sometime when neither team is having problems to see if it stays that way or was just a fluke of circumstances tonight.

@ Master TMO

I'm not sure if people overlooked the post but I did after the first game modify some of the mission file. I tried to move the center arial goal over so a flag spawn would not drop out of bounds in the pits. I also didn't want tank spawns to drop to a smoggy death either. I also added secondary jump pads and I believe 3 additional speed pads to try and make it a bit easier getting around.

So actually I think you were correct beacuse in the first game against The Special Ed's it took almost 10 minutes to get the first goal. A very low scoring game. In each game since then, evey game has been a good scoring game and there have been no bottlenecks. So I think the modifications worked.

As I said a while back, I appreciate the comments and look to make improvemnts from the comments. I thank both you, and Rogue, for offering your reviews of the map.

BTW I have also removed almost all of the lofted goals form my mods to try and maintain some fluidity.

Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 7:45:47 PM

I did see a comment from you that you'd changed the map, but never got a chance to check out the changes. Life, and all that stuff. *rolls eyes*

One improvement I like is the addition of the arrow pads. They make getting back to the action quicker.

As for the terrain, I like it very much, and always have. It suits my driving style very nicely.

Sorry tonight was such a frustrating evening for you. Hopefully our next matchup will be less stressful for all concerned.

@ Master TMO

Yea nothing bothers me more than things like this. Unannounced no shows just don't make sense to me. I'm pretty steamed right now.

We almost had you in the first game. :) Not to bad for Max, me and fatchick playing 3 on 4 for 25 minutes.

The melted Snoiwballs did an excellent job of protecting the goal and stripping at least three of us at the gaol in the first game.
2nd game we got out act together a bit, and did a better job.

Scorchers and snowball split.
I heard there was a fire on the mountian, I hope it survived. :)

Good news is that my new DSL made for smooth gameplay for everyone. Bad news is that it didn't seem to help The Fun Guys much. :(

X-Terminators vs. The Fun Guys

The Fun Guys only had three show and we had 6 show. So we lent them Pedro for Game 1 and then MajorPain for Game 2 so we could play 4 on 4. Unfortunately, Jacques was lagging bad for most of the games.

Semi-Finals: Summer Scorchers defeat the X-Terminators.

SS gets a win and 2 ties. I observed the games. Very intense and closely matched. Well played by the SS! Many good steals by Haha! Ah well, we are out. Maybe I will film the Finals now that I am out of a job (so to speak).
