I have uploaded a few of the.cs scripts here.

Note that this is officially unsupported . If you break your build, please don't send us support requests about fixing it.

As we want to ensure a quality experience for new players, we ask that if you use these scripts, and you put up a Mod server, you prepend the server name with MOD so that people are alerted to the possibility of wackiness.

Note that fopr security reasons, we cannot release all the scripts. We have included in the pack the ones we feel comfortable releasing.

@PokeMalo,

There scripts are very interesting. Thanks for the post. Could you please in a few words, analyze the "uses" of each of these scripts, or am I asking the wrong question? Modders have been bugging us for the actual source for the script files for months. These files are the source files for the compiled cs,dso files that come with thinktanks. Running these in the same directory as the.cs.dso files will recompile the scripts and use the settings in these files in single player and on servers you create.

Other than that information, you will have to look over the modding threads here on PTT to learn what each parameter adjustment will do.

This is wonderful, guys! YAY!!!

A note before using these from what I've managed so far:

MAKE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL.cs.dso files before playing around with these scripts.

As to the question about uses for each of these scripts, they seem to be well documented with comment blocks and relatively self-explanatory. Any changes made to these (once they are in the right place) will affect your game on all maps. I'm not sure

How this is going to affect the mods that people have been sticking in their.mis files though.

This is great...now if we could only convince the fellows at the mod sites to start releasing their mods in uncompiled.cs form.

The scripts do the same thing as the ones in the game. If you just install these scripts, nothing will change.

But, if you know what your are doing, you can edit them, and make changes for a MOD. If you don't know what you are doing, make sure you make a BACKUP of your original files before installing and mucking around with these files. Because, if you mess them up, TT won't work, and you will wish you had the original files.

Tank2.cs is not the same as tank.cs. Don't rename it and replace tank.cs. That will make TT not work.

The point of releasing the scripts was to make it easier for people to MOD. If you don't know what they are and why they are desirable to have for modding, you can ignore this thread.

How do you make it sdo that one of those command only affect your tank. Like the spin factor when you die. So you spn and no one else in your OD.

The.cs scripts are just text files. The will work on Mac, PC, and Linux. They will compile for the appropriate platform when the game is run. We are not going to release the message Hud script at this time. We are considering re-organizing some of the scripts for the next update so that we can release more of them. At the moment, there are a few items in some of the scripts that WILL break the game if messed with.

It should be pointed out that although this game was made with the Torque Game Engine, there were some extensive code modifications made for ThinkTanks, so not everything that works in the Torque will work in ThinkTank, and many things attempted using the resources on GarageGames may not work at all or may not work as expected (including have nasty side effects that may not be initially visible to the end user)

Just wondering, is there a way to get the console in the game like it is on the TGE by pressin `? I would love to see that in TT, I have having to minimize TT to go look at something in the console and/or boot someone. Thanks alot!

You could mod all the maps in such a way it would be easy to win in solo. Like make all the heavy and medium not shoot. :)

Just delete the.ai file. The bots will be there but they will not do anything. Takes forever to kill all those lives XD

So the solo uses your.mis files? So if u moded one it will be modded that way in solo? And where's this AI for the bots? And can u make it so u can't die in solo?
