Congratulations, scumbags. You can hide behind your aliases and make tt suck just as much as you do. It's all yours. You can have it.

Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at 12:25:36 AM

Tally - you sound pissed man. I know what you are saying I think. What I cant figure out is how some people take pleasure in being complete arse-holes. Is it bordem? I dunno. No-one I know in real life acts like some of the c-heads in TT. Its sad, real sad.

Boredom is too simple an explanation. In real life, these guys are the funny-looking, picked-on-by-their-peers, can't-get-a-girlfriend, hang-out-with-weirdos, can't-make-friends, never-get-invited-to-parties, socially-awkward kind of guys. What do these misfits do when they join an online community? -- a community where anonymity and a computer screen allows people to pretend that they are something other than what they truly are? These cowards pretend to be the school yard bully that torments them in real life -- the guy their misguided mind believes is 'cool'. Their behavior is an escape and reaction to their miserable existence in real life.

Don't hate them. Feel sorry for them.

I had 3 idioits chasing me through 6 games of scrum in the Shockwave servers last night. Demo Chip, Ozzy1 and some other demo asshole. Yes, I said ASSHOLE!

It became such a joke it was actually funny by the time I left to go to a private server. It's nice to see when there are three people chasing you down all game and you still win or place high on the board when the game is over.

I actually thanked Demo Chip for the entertainment before I left. She said I was welcome.

I then went to mad bots and dealt with an idiot, that made me leave the game.

Nothing like cyber cowards.

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.

Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.

I HAVE SEEN DOGMATISM AT WORK!

That's right!

It was on the MI: BANLIST LUSH INDY server, no less!

It all went wrong when I got really nervous that no one in over 45 seconds had called me a "bitch" or told me what they had done recently to my mother.

I asked Memphis and GQ to stop being so STINKING NICE and call me an idiot or some type name, or at least invite Tanty on the server for a while so we could all get our daily put-down.

But noooo! And Tanty did, in fact, later show up and got the boot too!

My new tactic is to go back to the Shockwave servers just to get my "bad-mood fix" and then go to BANLIST LUSH to be a real human being again.

What will the world come to? We could lose the Wild West one day? This would upset the liberals in a mighty way!

Heh heh

@Tally- I use aliases just to be less known sometimes, but still act the same as I always do.

@ Nap- that was pretty funny. I was there in my "Papa would use him for alligator bait" alias. You were getting major attention from the trolls, but still gave them more than they could handle :)

It was real thoughtful of you to thank chip for the entertainment before you left

Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at 8:09:18 AM

I haven't really had any problems since I was forced to give up my public identity and assume a series of aliases. Speaking of which - it might be about time to retire the current batch and create some new ones. My current names are starting to get recognized. One of them even had a brief fan club. XD

@Tally - sorry to hear that you're getting beat upon out there. You're welcome to join me in the Witness Protection Program if you like. XD

Actually, I was glad to see Tally join the game, I thought there would be some good play coming my way. Also there would be a respectable player to slap the noobs around with me. Tally quickly bolted. So I slapped them around by myself.

Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at 11:31:16 AM

Well finally someone said something. I feel it's this, half are dicks, half are nice, but there is a fine line, we've all crossed it with someone, some more than others, others less, but anyways. I believe we act the way we do online becaue it doesn't matter. You'll never meet me in my life, non of you, so I care less what I say on here. But I'm more moral than that. But I gotta say, don't follow the rule that if you can't beat...join em. That's bull, I am my own person and always will. Tally your a way more ass-kicking person that to let into these few punk-asses. Step up dude, and show your better, becasue you are. Keep going strong and let the good times roll, ignore the asswhipes of the world...or do as I do, ignore ignorance! Wait? Would I be ignoring my self? :P Anyways I hope my 2 cents helped dude, peace out.

I am VERY interested to find out how old that TANTY asshole is. Seriously, whatever age he may be, it would still be hard to imagine him at that age. He has issues. A lot of people in this world are mentally ill, so to hate them, in my opinion, would be wrong.

Don't hate them. Feel sorry for them.

Yes, very well said 44.

I'd hate to disagree...but I disagree. In my school (and most definately in others) the people who consider themselves "cool" are jack@$$es, racial slur slingin', sex-obsessive, vulgar, and just down right stupid people....and it's because of the way they act that they consider themselves "cool". They some how get actually "girlfriends" (which isn't likely to be a love-based relationship), and are usually the bullies of the school.
I know the sort of people who'd do this sort of crap (meaning, I don't know the people's names who are doin it on TT, but I know what category of punks they fall under).

I respect you 44 (and still do ;) ) but I for one am not giving these people my sympathy. Don't care if others call me cruel for doing so, but I have no sympathy for those who willingly and knowingly take the wrong path in life.

I agree with both of you. Now, before you start asking how that's possible, it's because I think the "bad seeds" can be any kind of person. I am leaning towards 44's side, though, because I believe in mercy and forgiveness, not hate and revenge. Let God take care of the judgment here. B)

Ya know what T-Ho,

There is a voice provider that had similar problems like this, so what they did is divided it into two sepearte servers. Now I don't know if this can be accomplished or not here with out an act of congress. But it seems to me the admin circle knows who the honest players are and they have all of their ip's. Is it not possible to make TS, S, TBM, BM, rooms that allow only the trusted players in. There are a bunch of great people here in TT and a bunch of newbies that are good folks also. It just seems that if RX can have his room open with ZERO problems for hours that we should also be able to do that.

And while I am here on my soap box, if some of the A-players would take a moment and show the newnies how to play and what acceptable and whats not we would see a considerable amount of people that aren't causing these problems. It seems like the newbies get bmed teased called names ect, so why in the hell would they want to learn to play the correct way when all the a-players do is beat the hell outta them? How about taking 5 minutes and explaining some things to the newbies? I get on after work about 1 or 1:30 am on my work days, there is a new guy his nic is @ure and he's a great guy he lives in France understand english pretty well and is a sponge on wanting to learn how to play. He has potential, he could potentially go the wrong or the right way. Depends on who gets a hold of him 1st and explains the way a tt'r is to play I guess.

So I said all that to say this, ya sow what ya reap. Reap some time into a newbie and watch the trouble makers fade away.

RS

Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at 5:21:47 PM

Yes, we really need to stop hating newbies so much. There are a few people that you almost always see flaming an inexperienced player (I won't mention names). On one server, this guy named UFO got banned for asking what an admin is and where he can get the dash codes. Yes, this can be funny, and you will probably laugh a little, but you should try to help them at least a little (banning probably wont teach them a whole lot ;).

Also, on a funny note about Tanty, I think we all would like to know more about it (Tanty). I think its funny that so many people imposter him, maybe they admire him :P. I once found three players on a shockwave server all pretending to be Tanty. It got just a little crazy.

Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at 5:42:40 PM

I'm glad Red Seal took the time to say that. Back when I was new, I used a few... Questionable tactics, to say the least. Everyone always got made at me, and I never understood it until someone took the time to explain that what I was doing was wrong, and looked down on by the experienced. I never meant to mess up the game, only to have fun, and work hard at winning. Most people that play with me now will agree that I play fair and put some effort into playing. Tally Ho, from the feedback you're getting here, I would assume that you are quite the veteran when it comes to ThinkTanks. I simply advise taking a short break, coming back after awhile and seeing what's new. If you still don't like it, keep coming back every once in awhile to find out if things are going the way you'd like. Never quit cause some bugger is going through puberty and can't find a good enough pimple remover.

Raise the young well, for soon they are the old.

Try being a girl for a day and see what happens, you think you have it rough Tally. Omg you aint seen nothing yet. I get cussed at told to spread out, go wash, who's your daddy. And tonight Bullet was so vulgor to me you wouldn't believe. What I do is just play on move on and kick there tail in the game, don't give in just play normal games and ignore them and they soon move on. There are only a hand full of these losers in TT and we all tend to get frustrated and defensive to it. Tanty, the real one anyway atleast he doesn't use fowl language. He just runs with the scrum. Some of these others like Demo chip, Bullet, Killer. Etc are losers, they are fowl mouthed people who care only for disruption of any game there in. Example. Demo Chip, " I'm gonna bm you because you didn't say hi to me" Who is this person? Gods gift to scrum? She or he Sits in the game taking a spot up , chatting to anyone who listens. Never plays, (Loser) Tally you are a good guy and I always enjoy playing in games with you. Just play on and untill there is a way to control the SW servers just remember how much of a better person you are then they ever will be. Some day all there ip's will be found out and banned from the good servers and then they can have the SW servers to themselves. Play on Tally. (Peace) GQ..

Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at 9:40:11 PM

Tally, we all know you are the real deal. The rest that fight you dont. You always rise to the top. XD

Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at 10:19:53 PM

^^ I concur... TANTY gets extremely dirty when I come into the server. XO Before, I would have to either use aliases or just think of great comebacks, but since I have the Ignore Script, I can just play TT and have nothing to do with his chat. Just ignore them, and feel sorry for them... Something must have happened to turn them down the wrong path. And Tally, you know you're better at TT than them. If you quit, that's putting gas in their tank. That's just my $.02 here...

Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at 4:26:26 AM

I would LOVE to be a girl for a day!!!

Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at 6:01:53 AM

@GQ - I actually did run under a girl's name as an alias for a little while once, just to see. I didn't get any of the rude obnoxious people, but did get the "flirty" conversations.

Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at 6:04:35 AM

Of course it would be interesting to see who the most aggressive flirts in he land are. Especially with no image to support ones personality.

I mean, it could be......

. XD Don't worry Nap. I didn't encourage or participate in it at all. All the flirting was uni-directional. My goal wasn't to entrap anyone into misbehaving, but rather to see the difference in behaviours.

Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at 8:27:21 AM

We should have a day when we all name ourselves after idiots/losers so that they can have the insperation to move on in life, take off their dorky glasses (1 foot width, 3 feet height), and be confident to all bullies and say "dont mess with me, im CONFIDENT!" (results may vary depending on what sort of bully you have). And maybe, just maybe we can get them to become real TT citizens!

And who said their all males?
______________________________________________
Ummmm monica, I kinda doubt gods gonna judge people over how well they play TT....
Just happend to see that when I was going through the thread
______________________________________________
I dont think we should be judging these n00bs until we know what situation their in (I think <---- sounds kinda silly, but its true)
Some might be just ordinary TT'ers who go on an alias so that they can take out their stress on other TT'ers.
Some might be "disabled" people (I dunno how disabled you could be if you can type as fast as tanty ;) )
Some just might be a browser on the internet who downloaded TT and just went loco.
Some might be (and I mean might be) people who are tired of being the top TT'ers and the most dignified people of TT.
So at this point in time theirs no way to say one persons opinion is wrong or right until you know who the idio' is

Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at 11:05:04 AM

Huh? I thought you were the wife..
Lemme get this straight...
So your married to some woman, you go to PTT, you flurt with T-ho (who is, ummmm, female!), and then you joke about it "haha" "ha" "cricket cricket", and we all live happily ever after...that is until your wife see's you've been flurting on-line ;)

Is that the story here?

Thursday, December 01, 2005 at 7:41:30 AM

Someone is severely confused here, and it's not me.

#1 - yes, I am married
#2 - Tally ho is male
#3 - I have never flirted with anyone in PTT or TT
#4 - I did use a female alias a few times. I had heard about some women players who were being verbally abused online and was trying to see if I could find out who was doing it. No one attacked me, but I did have a couple of teenage players try to flirt with me.

Any questions?

Tally people use aliases cause you like to insult people and others do too when they play you.just something I've seen personally from you and other tt vets
just to let you and others know I have an autistic son that I have to watch by myself.when I play tt he is on my back or grabbing the mouse or I can't leave him unnattended and I have the right to play tt just as much as all of you.i've seen it from others too not just tally ho.i've seen you guys whine like losers that you act like.grow up and be nice to others.help others instead of whining.i could go on and on but I'm not.

Friday, December 02, 2005 at 7:45:17 AM

Ummm I shoot Tally Ho, I think of him as Mr. Peanut and I'm a teammate of his in PS league. I have been called a rube by the Ho & I wear that badge with honor. I've always played the game in fun. I don't take it seriously. I don't remember treating Gamera mean? I have not had an alias as a female player like Tank Girl. Both 44 & I have been teammates on team Rube...
The open psycho scum servers are for grins. It would be nice to get new demos to be members. I can't stand the open psycho servers for long to set a good image for demos. You can catch most of the vets on Team pyscho scum servers late night.

I hope you all find a better game and have fun. It has been a good ride since the game began in May 2003. It needs a new version to make it a better experience for all of us. You may see some vets getting competitive. Ie who likes Bolo?

We treat him all badly as a rule. It is our role. In general, we are all good people once you get to know us. It is the community thing that is the most lasting part of keeping old vets playing. Work through the trolls and if you must, use aliases. In PS Team games use your real name, so vets will recognise who you are, rather than having to catch your game play to recognise who you really are.

Tally needs a break and so do I. See you in games next year.
