Anyone see this? One of the strangest moments in AI history.
What is it?

Here are some other WEIRD performances...
Like a virgin?

The heavy metal meltdown dude

Derek the new vanilla ice!

Leroy "can you DIG it?!" Wells! (This guy made Flava Flav scratch his head and rethink things.

OK, the dude is on the edge there, but I found his response to AI interesting. Rather than accept their critique, they're "Prejudiced" and "racist" and other excuses. I noted the same responses in other contestants. Talk about your delusions of grandure.

Sure, they stereotyped the boy. No way they cut him because he couldn't sing. %)

Oh, and TankGirl wishes he looked so good! <snap!>

I thought he did better than some contestants I have seen. Yea they did stereotyped him and I agree with Rabban.

I agree with both Raban and blitzer on the steriotyping....but looking at things from the perspective of society (determining what "cool" is), sadly society as a whole can't appreciate his tallents as of yet. Sure the guy can sing, butin this very narrow-minderd world, if you don't look, dance, or dress right- you're out. (Sad, but true...not saying I support that belief, just playing 'devil's advocate')

Anyways...that Leeroy guy had some serious [*cough*] goin up there like that! XD Either that, or he was outta his mind! @_@ Totally awesome, I think Simon's just a sour-puss X/ That guy would definately have a shot at making it in today's 'music' world.

Uh, guess I should add that I agreed with Simon's assessment on all counts. I meant to say that he couldn't accept their critique of his abilities, so he had to say they stereotyped him and were prejudiced against him. But I think Bolo made the keen observation on this one.

Typical conservative statement.

You just can't stand people who are different. You oppose change.
Yeesh.
I don't like how the guy looks either, but haven't you been told these things hundreds of times by your parents?:
"Don't judge a book by its cover."
"Beauty is only skin deep."

I, for one, am glad I'm not stereotypical. I'm proof.

^ Blah, blah, blah... :P

You sure have made a lot of stereotypical comments and judgements there yourself without batting an eye, but somehow you're allowed to do so cause you're with the PC crowd?

You just can't stand people who are different. You oppose change.

Do I? DO I??

You don't like his looks either, but somehow its ok for you to feel that way and not for a "typical conservative" like me? Get real.

Is he gay? Probably. Does it disqualify him from AI? No. Is he straight, but just enjoys presenting himself as femine? Possible. Do I REALLY care? No.

But I'm starting to notice something. Its starting to seem like anytime someone disagrees with your POV, its because either 1) parents or 2) society has programmed that person to "think" that way while you're view is freely discovered and open-minded.

Now there's a "Yeesh" for ya.

BTW - Don't take this too seriously.
