Update the drivers for your video card. Don't use the default Windows drivers, they have terrible OpenGL support. Look on the manufacturer's website.

There;s about 10 different ways you can do it. Here's my way (it's probably not the easiest way but it's how I check on anything graphics-wise):

Go to your start menu, hit Run, and type dxdiag. Onceyou're in the Direct X diagnostic tool, click the "Display" tab. Under the heading "Device" you can see the manufacturer of your video card.
