I've played mostly scum and actually am most impressed with the great defenders. Thought I'd start a list of what I think are the best defensive players in Scum today. Maybe someone else can list the offensive end.

Top 5 Defenders:

Tally Ho

PREY

HugoBrain

DJ_Breaka

Baba

These players seem to score off defense and seem to be a wall to defend. What impresses me most, is no matter how many players are in the game, these players seem to get better. More the better.

Good list. Can't argue there, except maybe add Sizicus (Ben) because he has the best battlemode skills. They've all robbed me blind many times.

However, I have to add that sometimes the best defense is a great offense.

With that said, don't under-estimate the defensive skills of players like Bolo, Burnsie, TankGirl, Jangles and 44.

Because they tend to possess the scrum MOST of the time and thus have to deal with every type of defense known to Man, they ultimately learn every trick in the book used by defenders (the Tally Swipe, the Shoot-em-down method that Prey loves to employ, etc. Etc.).

So, I am just as concerned seeing these "offensive" players defending the goal as I am with any of those great defenders you mentioned.

I take a big gulp, go for broke and then check my wallett to see if it's still there.

By the way, has anyone ever seen Jangles and Burnsie in the same game together? I have a suspicion that they are the same person (much like Janet and Michael Jackson). I can't tell their game apart. Just a theory.

I agree that's a good list there, including some of the extras paisano threw in in his post.

I can't recall how many times players like Baba have LITERALLY appeared from nowhere in front of the goal to rob me just inches from scoring. I wish I knew how they do it. LOL! They just always seem to be in the right place at the right moment.

Some players are definitely more offense types though, and are excellent at running the map with the scrum and maneuvering there way into the goal. TankGirl is one that comes to mind here, though many on the defender list are also pros at that too.

Burnsie isnt jangles....no comment on the above lists...

I guess I should finish the list and do the offensive side. This has many categories:

Indi Scum Players who could out drive you to the goal,.. Who would get you going the wrong way and are near impossible to steal from. What I'd consider the best offensive players, as they can get a score easy. It did not matter how many waiting at the goal. The only way to stop them was to kill them before they score...
