Still do we tolerate this, they DEMOS that do this are stepping farther away from buying the game when they do this?
You know, when I was a demo, I seem to remember always playing as a light, and I definitely didn't do any "hacking." Of course, I had the Shockwave demo, and I think I've heard that it works differently somehow. I know I've also seen posts on this site, however, explaining how to get a light in a demo version, and if its as simple as it sounded, I hardly think you can fault a guy for wanting to try a new tank. Now, if they start swearing or won't play fairly, I say kick 'em. A lot of demos just want to cause trouble, but every once in a while, you get one who really is just a beginner. I think these guys should get a little slack.
It's true, there is a time limit on the shockwave demo. The glitch thing is also been around for ages. If you don't want demo's just ban them as they come along. It's a private server,m you can do what you like. They always have shockwave servers to play on.
I've got no problem with demo's in light tanks... It wasn't what the game was designed for... But I think if I hadn't spent a rookie month or so as a demo in a light tank I wouldn't have got properly hooked on the game and wouldn't have ended up buying it. I just remember being frustrated in the medium tank

About 75 percent of the DEMOs I see are light tanks, and have been for quite some time. This is not news.
I love my randylion
When I was a DEMO I remember a non DEMO telling me a really easy and quick way to get a light tank...no code..just a glitch.....but I think if I hadnt of got that light tank I proberly wouldnt of bought the game etc.....i would hate the game if I was stuck in a med....Its a whole different game in a light so because of that I bought the game therfore it isnt such a bad thing
I am a demo that has a light tank but I don't think that should cause a riot to break out.
Life is life though all u have to do is egnore them overwise there'll carry on
my blaster will destroy u!
My registration code got disabled once. I downloaded the DEMO and used only a medium tank until I got my code back. I played the DEMO version the way it should be played and people got very mad and told me to get a light.
I wanted to use the REAL DEMO TANK to play the REAL DEMO VERSION.
Yes, most demos have been in lights for as long as I can remember, but they still can't play a full game and can't play teams. Nobody has broken the code there is just a trick to doing it and if the powers that be thought it was a problem they would have fixed it long ago. I can say that when I was a demo, I remember the medium tank being horrible, and it wasn't until I found out I could play with the light that the game started getting fun. Let's face it, this game is just better with light tanks, so demos being able to try out the light is a good thing, imo, but I also think the demo version should be time limited, so that it becomes unplayable after some period of time, so you can't just keep playing as a demo forever. I probably would never have bought this game if I hadn't been able to try out a light first. I would also advocate giving demos some small taste of team scrum, simply because TS is a big favorite of a lot of players, and would tend to get more people hooked.
Demo
Its not hacking or anything. I did it when I was a demo... Who cares. It makes for better competition.

I bought the full version because I wanted to know just how much fun those packs of lights that keep flying by me were. Its only $20 for Pete's sake.
^^^^^ I take offense at that last sentence... :P
I really think that demos should be stuck with the med. I mean, it takes DEMOs away from buying the game because they say: "Oh, the demo is fine." Guess why? They have all three tanks at their disposal.
They refuse to buy the game, but they don't say why. They say things like "I don't like the game enough." Then why do they play it?
If they have financial troubles, they should just admit it. It's not like we will become condescending if they admit it.
@ Delta(ST) if you had put your mods in team player mode, the way Bravetree and GG have requested on several occasions in the past, you wouldn't be having this problem. But as long as you guys put your mods up in player mode you'll just have to deal with all the demos.
4/1/1929 to 11/17/2006 Rest in Peace Bo. GO BLUE!!!
Thanks all for your responses.
1. OK the code is not broken, sorry here.
2. Some DEMOs are out of hand and conduct themselves like spoiled brats, I don't and will not tolerate this.
3. Minimum wage in USA is what $5.00 /hour so this game only costs 4 hours of your life, this is cheap. No excuse here.
Yes a time period would be more appropriate and a taste of team scrum since it is very popular and appreciated.
Thaks again and cya yah all on the battlefield. ;)

Hi all;
Yesterday in MI server lush indy it was filled with DEMO'S in light tanks. DEMO (ZEPPELIN) told me he had broken the code and that is why he had a light tank. I think this is not right!
Then some DEMO came back as DEMO (DELTA) and started swearing , saying the game is gay... I silenced him, then kicked, then banned him.
I don't think that someone that steals (code Broken) should be tolerated plus add on his behavior, this player is a pain.
What do you all think?
