Shags’ Scrum Tourney: Rules and Info.

-Prelude
This is a one on one, single elimination, indie scrum tournament. There are sixteen spots, and only sixteen spots, so it is on a first come first serve basis. We will play on through-out the week of September (date?). That week is the first elimination week. Each match will consist of two games. If there are two ties, or a win per competitor, there will be a third game-playoff. In the result of each winning a game and the last game being a tie, then we will total the scores and who ever has the most goals, will be the winner. Once our first week is over, the next week will be the qualifying round. Then the Semi-finals will take place on that weekend. Followed by the finals that Wednesday! If you are defeated there is no crying or whining, get over it! There will be a “referee” in the sever, in the semi's and championship matches (in the other matches I will need screenies) he/she will be in observer mode, if anything that breaks the rules occurs, he/she will report it to me or Icy!

Rules

-Battlemoding
Since it is a one on one tournament, all I can say is as long as your opponent is pursuing the scrum and not you, if they have a lead, so they can keep it, then everything is ok, but if they are purposely taking after you, with no attention of the scrum, then they will be given one warning, if it happens again, they will be booted!

-Camping
This area is a tough one to cover. Many of you say it’s not fair and blah blah…. Well folks GROW UP! Quit whining about it. I’m not saying I’m in favor of camping, but it is a tactic, and some people do use it, weather you say something or not. All it is is just an added obstacle, nothing more, just maneuver around it.

-Diving and Cliff Hanging
Sometimes you do need to cliff hang for just a bit to avoid some heavy fire, and you get knocked off the edge, in those instances it’s all right. Though if you do crawl all the way on the edge, then you will be warned to stop. If caught again you will be booted and forfeit to your opponent. If you deliberately dive, as in run straight off the edge, purely for the chance of a freebie spawn, you will be warned to stop it. If you do it again, you will be booted and forfeit to your opponent.

Hey shags, I'll help you out even though I don't have much time.. Anyway count me in! :)

I just wanted to Bump this thread, I've really worked on the rules, I used those from the past, and I really hope this gets going, thanks Icy, I need you to email me, or give me your email, so I can get ahold of you!

I've come to a decision for the times. What about the weekdays of August 29th to September 2nd? Then The qualifing round as the Monday(Sep. 5th), Tuesday(Sep 6th), Wednesday(Sep 7th)(I know psl9, but you can play before), and Thursday(Sep 9th)? Then The semi's will take place Friday(Sep 10th)and Saturday(Sep 11th) then the champion ship, Sunday(Sep 12th)? Does those dates sound good? The Scrum semi and championship matches will have to take place in the evenings so we can have someone monitoring the matches. Well do those days work? Let me know guys!

I am going on to Fargo on Saturday, through Sunday, and if round 5 more people don't sign up by Sunday night, I will have to cancle the tourney, becasue it doubt it will gain intrest, from then on. So please, will you all sing up!
