That does it...I'm moving to Canada.
Geography has never been a strong point of the American society. Perhaps it's due to our distance from the rest of the world - Canada and Mexico are really the only countries that have a direct and localized effect on us. Everyplace else is just "over there somewhere."

And here in Canada, we could care less where the US and Mexico are located.
I gotta have a beer with you someday KBC...you crack me up.
@Jacob - CNNNN is a comedy news show here in Australia.
Triv, the trashy idiots that roam the streets in urban areas are too stupid to be called human beings. I wouldnt judge us all that way. I for one had to take world geography for my college degree.
B
^ and I have to take geography for my high school diploma
Just to be funny:
If I lived in scandinavia id be damned good at geography too. At age 3 I'd know exactly where I want to move to get away from the icecube I live on
So everyone in the world knows where america is but many americans dont know where any other country is??? Maybe we are content to stay in our own country :)

This reminds me of Jay Leno's Jaywalking segments. Of course they take the most dense and ignorant people's clips and make the piece from what they do. What would be interesting about watching people get it right?
I found this one funny, especially when they changed the names of the continents and countries.
If I sent a film crew to England and did the same thing, I bet I could collect enough examples to do the same thing. (Or anywhere else for that matter...)
The US isn't very good at geography, though...
You could also ask how many of those interviewed ever left the country....
US has always been isolated from the world.
I personally, have never left the Northern American continent.
I'm the opposite. Lived overseas for 5 years as a teen. Then got a job doing computer mapping for 10 years after college. For some reason I seem to be a bit better at geography than most. B)
But interestingly enough - I've never been to Canada or Mexico. %)
Sonnies, we should invade France. See they were not our allies in that, umm...
I say, Invade em all. Capture and interrogate. And for Gods sake, get those pesky scandinavian, TERRORIST ESKIMOES... They're starting to get EVIL up there, in that desolate snow desert. Just nuke em. Much easier.
I'm with Bolo all the way. Who would ever want to live anywhere else than in the States of Glory??
@ KBC- nice background in that comic- strangely familiar...
@ Appleyard...

^ Man, that's genious. I wouldn't have a clue what the guy was talking about. Great link.
@ Bolo.
Yup, I bet Triv would do anything to trade the ice cube he lives on for one of those lovely hurricane spots.. :)

They are first asked what country should US next invate. Later they're asked to show that country on a tweaked map eg Australia is changed to North-Korea.

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.
