Hello to all of the TT community.

I have a question concerning about the type of maps in my server. I want to make maps that are maybe all dash or all monkeeman's maps. But the question is on how to do this? I want it like to rotate.

Also, please do not post anything that does not relate to the subject. Thank you.

Hey ZeBo,

First oif all you need to get the mission files. Dash has released most of his, and many of MM's are available on my website (www.reagentx.com). You will need to run a dedicated server. You will need to put all the mission files (.mis) (say 12 of them) and the corresponding terrain files (.ter) into the missions folder. Then you need to change the name of the mission files to the standard names. So for example change MM_Lush08.mis to TT1_1.mis. Stick with the std TT naming convention (TT1_1.mis - TT3_4.mis). Then when you launch your dedicated server with the -dedicated -mission all -Game TS command, it will rotate through all 12 maps.

Backup the originals into a new folder so you can save them, then put all the files you need into the missions folder. (I would copy and rename them in the missions folder rather than just move them, so you keep a set with the names the modders gave them.) If you want to go back to the original sets, you can just put everything back where it was. If you can do color labels on your files, it makes it easy to see which are not originals so you can move them out when you want.

This sounds tough. Maybe I'll just stick with the original maps. Thanks anyway. :)

Hey ZeBo,

Actually what I do is make a backup of the entire application. Then I rename it and then go in and modify the missions folder and server prefs. That way you don't have to worry about messing things up. Just be sure to specify the name of this copy of the application when you launch the ded server.

And yes, you also need the.ter files to also be in the missions folder, but you don't need change the names of those files (only the.mis files).

Seems simple to me. Just rename all this mission files you want to be in the Dedicated Server to TTx_1
where x = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc... Then your Dedicated File should look like this:

cd..
Thinktanks -dedicated -mission GREEN -game TS

^ I think you mean TT1_x.mis

Well, just use the Missionloader script on scriptline's site.. Will do all that for u, with simple interface (prefs.cs interface) and no file overwriting

Oh and one more thing...

How should my dedicated server look like when launching it?

For example, this is how my dedicated server editing looks like NOW:

Cd..
ThinkTanks -dedicated -mission ALL game/data/missions/TT1_1.mis -game TS

So how should it look like when I have already put that MissionLoader Script?

Thanks.

Do I just get rid of the "ALL" thing?

I am asking ^ question because I followed every step of the installation of MissionLoader and when I launch my dedicated server it doesen't show the dash maps. Art Crazy didn't show on what to edit when launching the dedicated server with this MissonLoader installed. :[ Or am I missing something here?

Does anybody know? I am very exited in having the dash maps in my server! :)

Thanks!

Yea and removing all should work

Hey Art Crazy what does it mean to "Re-save my mission file"?? I don't get it.

Also, when I went to my server there was a connection error saying that I don't have the right torque engine thingie to go into my server wih the dash maps. Why?

Thanks.

Do I just right click on the file and press save? (Is it that simple?)

EDIT: Wait I checked the file and right clicked on it, and it didn't have a "save" option. What do I do?

This is a dash map (D4.mis) that won't let me get in.

Please help! MAX, Art Crazy, Chilled Lizard, anyone! :)

Thanks.

When I launch my dedicated server, it does all the stuff but when it reaches Stage 2, it says:

PLEASE RESAVE YOUR TERRIAN FILE!!! THANKS!!

I don't get it. Did Art Crazy write that or dash? Please any help would be great. :)

ThinkTanks -dedicated -mission GREEN game/data/missions/D4.mis -game B

Is this the way to do it?
