I just picked up a '66 Lambretta Li 150 scooter. Sweet machine. Anyone out there in PTTLand a scooter enthusiast too? Just curious.

Gas...that is the '150' part of the Li150

As in '150 cc' as in cubic centimeters.

Dude, sweetness. For all you non-scooterites, Lambrettas are the ones with the front fender that doesn't turn with the wheel.

I used to do weekend jobs with my father throughout Iowa. We would get the Sunday paper hot off the press to search the classifieds for scooters and go far out of our way to look at them and make offers.

We ended up with two full garage bays stuffed with old scooters. I got a big kick out of the Harley-Davidson Toppers .

My Dad was partial to the Lambrettas and was a dealer in the late seventies. He just recently sold a 1978 200 with less than 100 miles that he had been hanging onto.

Cool man... The toppers are cool. I can't complain with my $800 CND 66 Lamby with less than 500 miles...

Needs a clean up but should run.

Ive got a Push scooter XD

I had a Vespa GS150 when I was 14, back in 1971. I've no idea how old it was then as it had been laying in someone's back garden for years, and had no papers with it. I gave £5 for it, got it going, and used to ride it round the back streets. (You have to be 17 to ride one in UK). I got away with it for a couple of months before I got caught. When the police came round to see my parents, I heard them say that I'd probably get off with a warning, so I started to sneak it out in the evenings, thinking that I'd never be unlucky enough to get caught twice.

I was unlucky.

I had to go to juvenile court where they gave me a £25 fine (which Mum and Dad had to pay as I only had about £4 in my savings), six endorsements on my licence (which I wouldn't have for another 3 years anyway), and two conditional discharges. Worst of all, my Dad got rid of my Vespa......

This is the vespa we had back in 1990 , I rode pillion on it until I gave birth to my eldest son.

I wont tell you what I did with 2 lamberettas my ex was rebuilding XD XD lets just say revenge was sweet ;) ;)
