The thing I liked most about ctf was it was a game with a purpose - get and guard the flag. Now, ctf games that could become good matches have turned into 'camp at the arch' or 'defend the arch'!

Please remove the health arches! I'm begging you...

Heh oops. An oversight. Those health gates weren't supposed to be in CTF, only scrum.

I don't mind the challenge, but the game is called 'capture the flag'. I just don't want anything to take away from the primary objective, that's all! XD

Personally, I'd like a few more games with the health gates in CTF to see how they effect game play. I may have been in the game you're referring to sib and I agree that the camping was silly, but I was thinking, "OK, time to adjust tactics". So I started going around the health gate after a spawn and wouldn't you know it, no one was defending their goal.

The big down side was that lights could keep me from entering the gate just by pushing me away from it. So they could shoot me, take a few hits, back in and out of the gate while blocking me and finish me off. THAT sucked, but the weight/pushing issue is a TT2 fix (I hope) and out of -z-'s hands.

So I like the gate in a way, but I don't like the advantage it gives to lights.

Health Gate?? Is this like the reload stations only they replenish your health? If these are in PTT Scrum Server I'm gonna have to check that out ASAP :)

LilAlien; it was in the "Slight Download" server. No one ever came in when I was there, so I'm not sure how it would play out it in a real game. :S Great idea though!!! I'd love to see it in more scrum servers!

This is just a quick MOD I made using the file so I could get a screenshot. In the server I was at, there was no reload station at all!

Yeah maybe that's why. I usually get to impatient for those download servers. Maybe out load one while I'm working out today (if somethings up).

It's back up as HealthGate Scrum. There's only 2 very small files to download on this one. (unlike the almost 3.5Mb on mine.) 32k & 52k. Think it was only about a minute or less for me. I just played a couple games in it. Very nice!!
