Army Forum Moderators

What

The Army Forum Moderators (AFMs) would had the speciifc job of overseeing this Armies Forum. They could regulate the posts and judge whether or not a new army deserves to be in existence

Why

Recently, the Armies Forum has become bogged down in many new armies that never do anything. In the last month, at least 5 new armies have been created (MA, ET, LR, TS. UA) and only one of them MA, has ever done anything to become a real army.

1) These new armies that never seem to organize just bottle up the forums

2) They create stress for other armies and people who try to tell a person that his/her new army is not doing anything, especially when he/she does not respond and that army thread just sits there taking up space

3) Most of the new armies are people spamming trying to get members into an army that has no organization, leadership or anything..And we try to help these armies but they don't listen

4) Many of the new armies think that they can recruit on PTT and thus create even more spam forums and don't listen when people say to only recruit on TT.

Therefor, I propose the creation of the Armies Forum Moderator position on PTT. I as well as many others are tired of always having these nagging Noob armies.

Unless they actually get organized, and play the game the right way, they don't deserve to be armies.

I know that this idea may seem to controlling, but honestly the armies forum has gotten out of hand

I know that the reegular PTT Moderators constently moderate all the forums, but I just think that if there was a group of people who could control the Armies Forum at all times, things would run a little smoother.

I am just stating my opinion and proposal. Please tell me what you think.

Thanks.

I know that this should really only be in the Armies Forum (I have already posted it there) But I really want people to consider this and I know more people visit the General Forum

I know, but what I am saying is that an Army Forum Moderator would be able to control that forum much more closely than the other general moderators. Since they have to look over all the forums, I just thought that perhaps we should have moderators whose specific task is to oversee the Armies Forum

Yea, I am completely behind ur ideea spirit. The Mods probably have enuff to deal with. What we need are mods that are assigned to the Armies Forums specifically to moderate it. Lock useless threads, make an Armies Resource (my idea for noobs), tell armies if they can continue their armies due to inactiveness or no wars, etc.

I have emailed my proposal to Lonewolf.

If you guys could spread the word to any moderators that you see, that would be great.

Whomever becomes an AFM will have to be givien the powers to:

A) lock uneccessary forums

B) delete uneccessary posts

C) what ^ said

;)

Hmmmm, yea. THese mods only allowed to edit Armies Forums?

^ well, I don't want it to make it appear as tho these Mods have equal status with regular ptt moderators.

But to answer ur question, no the AFMs would have control over every thread in the Armies Forum, not just Army threads.

:)

Yea I no, what I meant was will these mods be able to edit more than the Armies Forums, like modding or anything. I dont think it is possible to make a group assigned to just one Forum. But then again, I did not make this site so I should not be saying if there is or if there isnt.

Jay

Well no Moderator has posted here and disagreed with the idea so they are proberly in the process of thinking about it lol......by the way it does sound like a good idea but as ^ says some re-working would have to be done to have specific moderators for only one part of the forums

Oops, didn't think about that, hm...well I dunno...that would kind of be wierd with two sets of moderators...
