TG- I have a 2 and a 3 year old. Those moments are few and far betwee, and when the occur it seems as if the world stops and the only people around are you and the child. My son and dsughter have both brought tears to my eyes. I never knew that sometimes amid all the madness, sundowner's syndrome(ask someone if you don't know), and all the "I don't wanna go to bed"'s that such a little person could bring such joy and warmth at those times. You are not alone TG- Merry Christmas to you, and all the TT'ers. Chineseknife.

A very Merry Christmas to you TG!

That tree mesmerizes anyone even when you look at a picture of it. I dont know how enchanting the tree is when you see it in person, but when I look at the picture my father took 2 weeks ago at Rockefeller Center, for some strange reason I have to just stare at it for a few minutes. The huge star on top, the lights rays hitting your eyes, and the people ice skating there really jump starts the Christmas Spirit..Plus the scenery of all the stores around the tree kinda makes your credit cards twitch and jump! LOL

EDIT:

In fact, I feel so jolly I'll post that picture:

Merry Christmas everyone.

(sniffle)

What a beautiful story, Katherine...I was also deeply touched by it.....it shows that if you take a symbol of Christmas and improve on it, and show it to the world, you have something wonderful...

Happy Holidays to Everyone

That is so touching TG, I too remember when I was young, my father took me to a shopping mall, and I saw a huge Christmas tree, it was so beautiful, with all of its decorations and color. You have touched this old man' heart. :[

Thanks for sharing such a heart-warming story, Katherine. I totally understand what you were trying to say because I've had those kinds of magical moments with my two boys too. You really captured the emotions very well with words.

I'd like to wish you and everyone else on TT and PTT a Happy Holiday Season and look forward to a healthy and happy new year in 2005!!

My child is a magician. She generates the wonder I thought I had lost. I know what you mean Katherine.

Happy Christmas, all.

That was amazingly beautiful Tank Girl. Very touching and very beautiful. I'm still 17 so I don't have a kid of my own yet Lol. I wish everyone on PTT a very merry christmas and I hope you all enjoy this wonderful season of blessing and love with family and friends.

Good times.

In an age of video games, tv violence and simply growing up too fast, it's good to know that a Christmas tree ( albeit the Rockafeller Center one) can stop a kid in his tracks.

I can't wait for Christmas morning to see our kids faces.

His expression took me SO by surprise that I immediately started crying.... I couldn't help myself. I felt like I had just experienced something magical, something pure, and completely real.
