Hi all
As most of you know I have been in TT for some time
Seen plenty - done plenty
But this morning I was amazed by the proliferation of new maps
I saw that MM has released a new slew of mods so I went to redownload the
MOD PACK. And unbelievebly there are 235 maps total
LOL!!!
Including the originals and some I made but never released that means my mission
folder contains 282 terrain files
Who woulda eva thunk it?
Huh?

HOLY CRAP!!! I'm definitely getting it...

I..Must...Make...New...Maps....

And yet we play how many?

Aint it a shame.

I'm quite sure it's because not everyone knows what there doing as far as pre-downloading the maps. I'm no computer genius myself, and know what it means to depend on help to get somewhere. I had to ask for help, because I didn't understand alot of the language. I eventually got it w/help from others who know more about it. Thank you Nap/Roo! Maybe someone could put together a new tutorial in a clearly defined language, and/or offer some real tutoring along w/the tutorial through email etc. I have to say, that's what got me through stuff. I eventuall picked up not only the language, but on trouble-shooting for myself w/a more stable base of knowlege thanks to the help I recieved. I think some are just plain intimidated by their machine, and won't even try w/out help. Yes they should ask, but are maybe too timid, or admitedly lazy. I do think that someone would bite if this help was initiated. I hope that helps out a bit. I really think we would see more regualr population of the great mods w/some "help". I have had the oppertunity to help others too, since I have mastered "some" things. I will help w/this topic as well as I become more adept at modding etc. :)

I put up 4 of my best scrumods this past weekend and watched
15 ppl try to join and give up when downloading - it is a shame
and one of the reasons I don't mod anymore
