How do you make a survivor sever?do u have to be an admin?

You DON'T. The script is protected material. I can't even post the zip file. And you can't without the script. Deal with it.

LMAO! No, you will never have it, you are never going to be admin. That's it. Maybe once you understand what admin and Survivor are, you will see that it isn't something that people say: "to have survivor in your server, you press crtl + delete. Yada yada". It is a script that took the hard work of warfare and is not ever going to be up for grabs. Even if you were to have the script, I doubt you would know what to do with it.Lock This.

I understand your feelings cannedsplam and dj, but you really don't have to get so mad when someone asks for the script. It seems like a simple question because this is the only script at this point (that I can think of right now, there probably is another one) that people are unwilling to release.

ABC123 the survivor script was made by a person in a username called Warfare. CTF and Survivor was meant to be a sacred tradition that there is not to be more than 1 survivor server. I may have the script, CS, NEVA DIE, and Warfare but we only put only 1 and only 1 survivor server. I know you might say that this really blows, but a server is not going to make that much of a difference. You can go play other servers such as scrum or battlemode. Besides, the survivor scripting might be hard for new comers to TT and DEMO's as well. (I have no idea why DEMOs want the script anyway when they can't host anything...) ABC123 I'm not trying to be the bully here laughing at you. I'm here to say the truth about this whole concept of misundertanding.

^ 8o Hey, none of this " XO " now. New people of today are the vets of tomorrow. It all depends on how they are treated. B) I was a newbie once too. WF was a newbie once. Look what he's become--he's only kind because he chose to be that way. The influence on his choice (besides his conscience) was how he was treated as a newbie.

I THINK the CTF script is now open sourced b/c the PTT CTF server is no longer up. I used to run CTF, but the bots were no good and it got boring after awhile.

I'm actually trying to make a "mod" of Cranium Crater that has the CTF like you used to play it in Phys Ed at school, where if you get the flag into your side you win. It doesn't involve any scripting.

I just think it's weird how people say if they gave out the script the server list would be "overrun with survivor servers". Art Crazy released his CTF script, and when I looked at the list of servers I didnt see a single CTF server. The only one I have seen in the past week is t-bone's "Merry Christmas CTF".
Also, about the PTT CTF server no longer being up, does anyone have the script for that? No offense to Art Crazy, but the PTT CTF bots are much better.

EDIT : I'm not trying to downplay the work of all of you who made the survivor script. I'm just saying that a lot of people would appreciate it if you released it (myself included, and I just want to use it to learn scripting).

Well, I guess I over-reacted a little, but I get so much of this type of thing everytime I join a server.

"Splam, can I be admin in survivor?!?"
"Canned, put survivor up and go there please!!!!!"
"Canned, I wanna be admin at survivor!"
"Splam, how come your admin in survivor?"
"Can I host a survivor servER?>"

It gets kinda old.

... Am I on there? Some people where telling me I was, but I really didn't know :P

Yes, you can be an admin, but at my personal Server, not at Survivor. I only recruit certain individuals that seem suited for the job. I'll talk to you in-game for details. Be good.

^ I remember trying, long time ago, to make survivorwith billy bob... We had almost everything covered, only problem was that the bots were sometimes killed twice, and sometimes never lol... That was caused by me still not knowing about BotClientGroup, and I think I was the first to use it and release it open source later on. (TIP: CTF.cs)
Only if I had still the.cs file... It worked fine :)

EDIT: After some search I found 2 versions of the survivor script in my "gametypes" folder XD
One, as everyone would notice still implements some noobie scripting :) and the other was a remake I tried to do long ago, but didnt have the pacience to finish it, if I'm correct... Ah well... I'll test em later on :)

^^ As if! Survivor is a real PITA to script, having tried it once myself. Meh, I really don't care about being a Survivor admin, having had my chance when I hosted it.

Art, it is up to you to give out a survivor script, but all you would be doing is ruining the fun that Warfare, Comp, me, and recently DJ, have worked for. It's entirely your choise to give it to the public, but it won't be supported at all with the survivors....... :(

Dont worry. I can't get it to work righ due to something I scripted messing up my AI (the bots dont spawn)...
I dont have the pacience to fix it (I'd have to check the main.cs script by script, and if I reset the main.cs, the AI works)
Even if I did get it to work, max I'd do would be host for some bits ;)

Some never learn. Hint hint?
