For macs there is the good ol 7Dust 666
Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.
Alright, here they are:
The TOP one is Claria - Claria disguises itself as a friendly program so you don't suspect anything. It keeps downloading more and more spyware each time you visit the internet. Massive pop-up invasions and that it works for GATOR.
Second one is CoolWWWSearch - CoolWebSearch has over 1357 supported sites to infect your computer. It hijacks google to lead to their sponsers. Again, massive pop-up invasions in sites that even don't have pop-ups! This is really dangerous and is hard to get rid of if you don't get CWSredder.
Third one is lop.com ( DO NOT VISIT THAT SITE!!!!!!!) - lop.com is really sticky but can get rid of. Some you have to spyware scan and remove it manually. It brings loads of new search engine shortcuts and hijacks your interent to lead to porn sites or one of their spyware filled search engines. It also brings new icons to your desktop. I have been attcked by this before and it wasn't pretty.
Fourth one is Kazaa - Kazaa's liscence agreement states that you accept to put their crapware on your computer. Kazaa also states that you also put GATOR/GAIN advertising on your computer so they can track your internet activities. Why do people install Kazaa if it has all these crap in it you ask? Well, its liscence agreement is so LONG that nobody even bothers to read all of it!
Fifth one is Grockster - I have no idea on what grockster does but I can tell ya that when you install this, it puts thousands of spyware on your computer. When someone disagrees to their liscence agreement you will STILL get spyware from them! This is one compny that hates clean computers. So watch out!
Sixth one is probably WildTangent - WildTangent lets you play mostly "3D" game out their but their product is spyware. Sure... Their site seems nice and all but they just want you to be fooled to install their product so they can track your internet activities ithout you knowing. That is why I got rid of this thing today.
Seventh is probably DirectRevenew - You know that irritating malware I got that was extreamly sticky? Yup, Nail.exe. Nail.exe has hit 300,000 results when I googled it. Their product, ABetterInternet, is not a better internet indeed. They just wanted to create the most sticky malware out their so no anti-spyware can touch it. There is a way to getting rid of this thing and it's fooling it with a fake batch file.
Eigth would be BonziBuddy - Yeah, BonziBuddy has a very ugly icon and a very ugly monkey that is "purple". Do not install this thing, it's just spyware and it's really not worth it.
Ninth would be probably CometCursor - This is some powerful cookie that gets on your computer regurarly if you don't have much protection. Not much to talk about this one.
And finally 10th in my opinion would be BackDoors - They SEEM harmless, but they bring in pwerful viruses on your computer. I been attacked by viruses when Nail.exe opened a back-door. There are many more back-doors out there.
And those are my opinion on the 10 most harmful spyware and malware! :)
Keep your internet safe everybody and happy surfing.

Hehe... I already had CoolWebSearch 1nce.. I was the one to tell CuC about CWShredder XD
Took me a month to find that app.. Ad-aware and many others would do any thing... Till that time I have to reredirect the sites it redirected me to to the original sites I wanted using the hosts file... Then set Mozilla as primary browser so not as many popups would appear... And well.. The popups were a little 18+ :P
To all those who need:
Nail.exe can be removed
but requires booting into safe-mode and hacking thru your registry
There is a proceedure for this on Symantecs website
But I have to agree it is one nasty mutha
What do you guys think of Microsoft Spyware remover?
Seems to work for me... But I dont do a lot of net surfen
Squid
Tips:
1. When downloading from P2P, always search google for the torrent file and it should say the actual size, that way you know the file you are downloading isnt a fake (and most probably a trojan/virus/spyware/adware/malware)
2. Try to avoid running.exe and.dos files when possible.
3.Always have a firewall installed when on the net and/or downloading from P2P
4. When you want to install a Trojan on someone else's computer never download one from the net (most popular for download being, NetBus and Sub7) because these have Trojans installed in the actual.exe (I am in no way condoning the action of using Trojans)
5. Always scan a file before opening, plenty of free anti-virus programs out there.
6. Before downloading anything, do a google on it first, that way you'll know I anyone has had problems with it before (posted on forums etc..)
7. The most obvious, don't go onto porno websites when using IE, and/or Warez or Serial websites.
1. When downloading from P2P, always search google for the torrent file and it should say the actual size, that way you know the file you are downloading isnt a fake (and most probably a trojan/virus/spyware/adware/malware)
Usually if you are downloading a program ( ie. Antivrus) and look at the file size, if it is 0 - 900 KB range it is a DEFINITE virus/ spyware/ malware
