VOTES ALREADY MADE

-{UF}-Racer445 (Lin)
I don't like any of them, but #2, Pumpkin gets my vote by a long shot.

Jedirieb (SA)
My vote goes to pumpkin, same reason as CB. I wouldn't ever want to use any of those skins, but #2 looks like a bit of work went into it.

AncientOne (Fi)
It's funny how it is actually pretty easy to tell who's skin is made by who because of their styles... ;)

I vote for Pumpkin for great symmetry and style.

Pumpkin That Exploded!

Lol am I the only one who likes them all?

I vote for pumpkin, with exploded and mummy coming in close behind.

Ditto that! Doc thinks alot of work went into all of the entries!
Great Job Skinners!
I like Ghost for it's mood.
The heavy pumpkin for it's lumanince.
Pumpkin exploded ehem, a bit predictable, could have suited the title better.
Seed of Chucky is just plain twisted and great take on concept, luv it!
Cool Web on TorT.
And the London Wolf looks like some nice fender work in there....

My vote has to be for Mummy!

Congrats to the winner in advance!
Maybe you'll get a shot at me next time!

Mummy......for nostalgic reasons. Although I think it might actually be a snap shot of my one drunk night in Wisconsin, whereby I t.p.'d LoneWolf's tank as he was busy berating all other scrummers and calling them nOObs. I haven't the slightest clue how you guys do this stuff, every one of them are amazing.

My vote goes to trick or treat,
I like how the webs run up on the fenders and look natural.

Ghost in the Machine is a close second.

Mummy!

Pfft, I am a detail guy and who ever made number 1 worked his Atth off, great job #1. Nice detail, I think the reason you did not get more votes is because it's not Pumpkin colored, anyway great job all, I just really appreciate the detail #1. Put in on his/hers.

Note, even on the inside of the rims , man lots of work there man, awesome job!! Wonders if it's Fishtanks 8o

Some were made quickly, and some took a while, but I think all of the skins are very well done!

Friday, November 03, 2006 at 8:16:17 PM

I'm going to vote Skin # 2. It has alot of style and the orange is very artfully done. I like how the colors have been textured to make it seem like a real skin, and not just a random paint job.

;)

Yes, my muse decreed I would be participating in this match, but it didn't inform me that the skin I'd be doing would take 5 Photoshop files, hundreds of layers and channel masks, and probably somewhere around 30 hours to complete. 8o That is information I would have appreciated knowing before I started. XD Just as an FYI, the white parts (wheels & gun barrels) are supposed to be bone. Don't know how obvious that is. The brain is supposed to be partially rotting, and the brainglass has some cracks in it, but those are both only barely visible in the screens. Skin link here

On the other skins, Pumpkin probably would have been my first choice. Ghost in the Machine is pretty good, but it seems like it's a bit dark - I think it would be difficult to tell what the parts were on it. I'm hampered in the others in not having seen the Chucky movies or Werewolves in London, so I'm not entirely sure what the different parts represent. And 'Sploded Pumpkin and Trick or Treat are both good colorful skins.

Well done all!

Ghost in the Machine
^^ Heh, thanks. Great skins here. I really dig Mummy's treads and brain. Pumpkin looks great, also. I actually started a "Great Pumpkin" skin (peanuts), but scrapped it. Too bad DocSaw didn't compete, I was really looking forward to seeing her Halloween tank.
EDIT: oooooh, love the shading/shadowing on Mummy! Primo skin.

Happy to get 1 vote :)

I wasn't even expecting TMO to let my horrid skin be in the comp with it being turned in a day late. I made that in about two hours spread across a week. My computer lab closed down, so my access to PS kinda died. Was forced to make the treads and brainbucket in appleworks on halloween night. I probably wont even post it on my skins. I wante to have somthing about the little old lady and a pina colada somwhere on it. Instead, I had to go with the fove minute "mauled" marks on the bottom. I really like how they eyes on the back came out, though.

Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.

@Rabban - I can probably run the next contest as well. Email your theme to the Skin Contest email and I'll set everything up.

The funny thing is, I thought Ghost in the Machine was going to do really well. The only thing I didn't like about it was the "Scream"-like face on the side. I was really impressed with The Mummy as well since it had such a unique, anime feel to it. Honestly when was the last time you saw a tank with that kinda for presentation? Well done!

Thanks to all those who put me over the top. I hadn't expect the Pumpkin to take as much time as it did, but the more I worked on it, the more I felt it needed. There were a few more things I would have liked to have to done to it, but sometimes you just have to close a project due to time and deadlines.

Let me ponder a bit on the next theme and I'll get back to you.

Thanks again!

Anyone know why my skinner's icon is missing from my name? :[

Monday, November 06, 2006 at 4:18:28 PM

Nice Brain!

Monday, November 06, 2006 at 9:09:29 PM

^^yeah, you have to add 10+ skins to the skinning library.

Monday, November 06, 2006 at 10:21:59 PM

Hmmm... That means I'll probably lose mine when I delete the previews for this challenge from it. *shrug*

... Well, if they count each tank as 1 skin, then I actually probably do have 10, since I have 2 complete skin sets, and then a few light tank skins.

But if they're counting each set, then I am pretty sure I have less than 10.

@ Saw

I think thats got to be a Vampire! XD Can't wait til you release it!

Tuesday, November 07, 2006 at 6:26:01 AM

^ah! Good guess......what with bats in the brain jar!

Count Tankula (ST4_CT) is coming out hopefully in next 24 hrs.

Lolz! Watch your necks!

I still think fishy's is the best, great work my friend, awesome detail a real keeper man.

Tuesday, November 07, 2006 at 2:27:49 PM

^ Thanks alot, knowing somebody other than myself digs my stuff makes it all worthwhile.
^^ Count Tankula looks great and is a great concept. At first, I thought the brain looked like a Vampire's face with his eyes closed, but now that you say it's a bat, I totally see that, also. Can't wait to see the finished skin.

Tuesday, November 07, 2006 at 7:42:38 PM

I'm with fish. The bat looks like a face to me too, so you invented something without knowing it. Hmmm, something to think about.

Wednesday, November 08, 2006 at 5:53:48 AM

HMMMM....don't know what to say, I guess since I was attempting a bat, I didn't develop what you all see as a face. On gazing upon it for minutes I see something that looks like a "psuedo Groucho Marx" phony eye wear thing....kind of disturbing...but it's all batty bat.

Got the skin set up on saw's stuff thread for those who are interested.
