I just got the half blood prince in the mail... I am on page 105 and I thought I would stop to eat something :P I must say, it is not quite as depressing as the 5th books' beggining, but there is a tidbit about snape that is slightly distubing!
^ if only I knew what perils waited me when I said that yesterday...

I got it today, and I'm on page 170 or something. There are 652 pages, all told. 3rd longest book yet. Seeing War of the Worlds tonight!

AAAAAHHH! I had a huge lighting storm... Power went out for a good 2 hours!! ::sobs:: I had to go down int my basement and it was impossible to read with the flashlight... Back at it though and I am on page 264 though... I don't think I will be able to finish it today as I wanted too though :[

I just finished the book... It has the most depressing ending of all of them... I think I'm going to cry... I couldn't even imagine this happening before it did... And now I'm filled with complete hatred for Snape. You'll see why when you get to page 596 :[

Well, I kept going back and forth on Snape's loyalty, but it seems we know now. Did anyone else notice what Dumbledore said on page 578, before all the action at the end? He said to Harrry, "I am not worried Harry... I am with you"

I think it's a bit of foreshadowing for the later books.

And while you have the dictionary out, check your spelling, too.

For some reason, I didn't flip out... I wonder what Book 7'll be like, if Snape's headmaster, that'll be interesting...

That's the direction I was going in too. Rowling spends way too much time playing up the Snape angles. She intentionally makes him unlikeable. Is he a Death Eater? Is he with Dumbledore? Dumbledore trusts him completely, and will not discuss it with Harry. Harry's dad didn't like Snape, and teased him.

Snape has been a central character in every big event in the entire series, and is likely misunderstood. Harry hates him, but Harry's a kid. He's very emotional, and may not be good at seeing the long term plan that Dumbledore came up with. I'm pretty sure we haven't seen the last of the work that Snape and Dumbledore have started. Now you get to wait for #7

I'm still waiting for the 4th movie. I'm a grown man I can't be going to a book store and buying Harry Potter. What would the town folk think?
