Well, this happens (MINT errors) from time to time and it's always a rush to think that you could find a penny on the street that's worth 10k. (At least to me it is fun to think of such things...)

I heard on CNN just now that a mint error has occurred in the 2004 Wisconsin Quarter. And is going upwards of $600.00 in coin markets. I checked on ebay and was much less, but I'm sure once the word is buzzing it will continue to rise.

The radical thing about this error, is there seems to be alot of them. Or, rather, more then just a 1 — 10 time fluke!, reports CNN. They say the MINT has "no idea how many were made, and the error has only recently been called to their attention".

Here they are:

So look for the "3rd" leaf kiddies, you may get real lucky and find one!

I know my eyes will be pealed from here on out!

Wow it's practically X-rated! So shocking that you can see that extra leaf so explicitly!

Totally! I live in the land of quarters here in Nevada with all the quarter machines....have always thought of NV of being a "clearinghouse" for coinage. Wonder if I should spend "free" time buying rolls of quarters from casinos and going through them one by one? Or would that be like Varuka Salt looking for the "Golden Ticket" in the Willy Wonka movie? (lol)
