Hey everyone, I'm not sure if you're aware but I'm gathering elements and files to updtae the Expansion_Pack. If you have any old installs, unique shapes in the data folder please let me know, and I will include them.

Even better if you know where to get some.dts files I'll check them out and see if they will work.

Also if you have any ideas for custom skies, SOUND OFF, I'll see what I can do.

Also looking into auto installers for all 3 Operating Systems, no more drap and drop. SWEET! :~)

Oh never mind the download doesn't work for me...here's a better one I did a test run on . It's for windows only though (ha).

Edit: this one only handles 20 MB so if you're gonna use it than you'll have to make a couple of executables

Nappy if you need a package maker/installer for OSX it comes in the Developer Tools utilities folder. You should be able to find it on your Tiger disk if you haven't installed Developer Tools already. It's called PackageMaker.

Thanks everyone!

Nuts, I would love to add Tim Aste's stuff.
One of the problems I believe is some of it may not work with TT. The reason I say this is I have in the past tried to add some of the buildings from TGE and they create exception errors upon launch or kill TGE all together. If anyone has access to any of the contents pack I would love to try them out. I'd test every element and use what TT will accept.

This is what I was hoping TT2 would be updated to. Some of this guys enviroment pack are truely awesome! We'll see how it goes.

Thanks Az, I haven't yet tried packageMaker But I'm about to.
TY Bigshow, I'll find something.

I could use a little help in the Linux world if anyone can muster up a little skill.

Anyway turn me on to some.dts files!!
WOOT!
WOOT!

I have some interesting blender files... I will try and convert them over to DTS

Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.

That would be cool. Please let me know how it goes.

Way back when dash first started modding
I made self executable installers with WinZip
The trick is to have the correct path
The problem with this method is that there are 4 different distributions
So it never really caught on
ie
For Shockwave = C:Program FilesShockwaveThinkTanksgamedata
For Bravetree = C:Program FilesBravetreeThinkTanksgamedata

@napalm

In my TGE Help thread u said something about TGE and you open the folder, click on the demo and you could immediatly start modding... Is it Trueeeee?

Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at 8:29:12 PM

It will be. I'm going to create a version of TGE with the mod pack and expansion pack already installed. Just launch the program and start creating a mod.

Of course people will still need to familiarize themselves with what should not be added in TGE. There are objects and other elements that TT does not support. There will still be a learning curve, you will still need to get modWiz installed so you can finish the mission file. But to make the basic terrain and mission file, yes it will be no-muss, no-fuss. Only a day or two.

I also encourage people to install TGE later in another directory and run through the Expansion pack and mod pack installs. It will help them better understand the application and it's relational counterparts. You will at some point need to update this down the road.

I will also have an update for those who only want to add the new stuff. No need to start from scratch.

Lov'in it!

Yeah that will be cool... I followed some of triv's way to insatll tge and it worked,. Except when he said to put some of dashes mods in the game folder or something, I tried opening them with tge and it says I needed some new tge stuff and directed me to some project site... What the..
but I cant w8 till you come out with this new revolution of tge creation!... Sorta lol :P

That just meant that the mod pack should be installed in the missions folder. That would give you access to a bunch of dash's, roos and Monkke mans mods.
