Ok, I was searching online and I saw tons of videos of ppl smashing there Ps3 and other systems this is stupid!! I understand you r trying to get your point across that they are over rated (I Agree)!! But in my class we are doing this fundraiser to feed 53 hungy children ($15) in Africa and Imagine how much many kids that will help if you donated $749.99!! I think it is a total waist of money and not a smart choice when you are only trying to prove a point!! :o

One this topic (I have been following the console wars ever since it started when Nintendo betrayed sony and ended up making a new system) I have always been on the Sega/Microsoft side of the wars even tho the Wii has won this round at least we arnt in 3rd place. But I do agree with Adam Sessler on the PS3 special. The xbox 360 is heavy... Man heavy. No "MAN" is gonna wanna play some mario kart double dash.
I mean the Wii has some good games like Red Steel *thinks for a bit* well thats it. But I mean would man rather play.

^ xbox is the most manly gaming??? Umm I dont think so PC tops of the xbox and will continue to grow. Also obviously a lot of "men" play the wii. The wii is selling like hotcakes. It sold on amazon under one minute the day it came out and it is still selling. I heard that most of the "men" who bought the ps3 are selling it online for cash. A lot of "Men" play mario and zelda and ssbb and other kinda of games. Maybe the "men" you know dont, but a lot of "men" do. Also Red Steel is not a decent game. It got a TON of bad reviews..........where do u get your information :S :[

@Tanker: I agree with you on that topic. With the cr*ppy PS3 costing as much as it does, it's pointless to buy one just to smash it, when that money could go to much better purposes. :(

@Mob: Let me ask you this: Is the only enjoyment you get out of video game the violence? If that's your enjoyment, then yes, PS3 and X-box are perfect for you, all kinds of bloody cr*p on them. Don't get me wrong, every once in a while Sony or Xbox will produce a decent game (like a LOTR game that every system has), but the ones you listed are far from it. Nintendo systems are about gameplay and fun . Imagine that, you could have fun on a console game. Unlike Sony and Xbox who only brag of "incredible graphics!", you don't get the important part: the gameplay. With Nintendo, you get that gameplay, and honestly, if it comes down to gameplay vs graphics, gameplay wins. So, you go play with your "Manly" friends on your typical no-brainer blow-the-sh*t-out-of-each-other games on your precious Xbox, and let the people who want to play good games alone.

@ jedi thats where yer wrong, I could care less about graphics, if I was palying Halo 2 with 84 pixel characters, it wood be ok with me, but what system has had games that have been game of the year since 2001? Xbox, and actually the xbox has waay~ better gameplay than the nindendo. (oh and btw I hate the PS3).
The only time I ever remember actually having "fun" on a nintendo console is wth super mario bros. Besides that Nintendo and Sony are obisuly desperate to cath up with the last console wars winner (THE XBOX 2001-2005) becuase they have pointless games like

But everyone over the age of 9 would like to play games like Halo (game of the year 2001) or The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind (game of the year 2002) or Mechassult 2 Lonewolf (game of the year 2003)
or Halo 2 (game of the year 2004) or whoever won the 2005 game of the year... Guess what who made those games? Microsoft, all but Morrowind, and guess what system these games were for? The Xbox... Now if you wanna say driving around in a small Teeter Tot mini kart with a plumber in overalls yelling "Yahoo" and throwings turtle shells at you is more fun than, playing a game where u use machine guns and shoot people in a pimped out hummer or any car basically imaginable to man, then go right ahead more power to ya. But guess what me and most of the America like to play
a game with the hummer.

Come to think of it non of nintendo s games where runners up in any of the game of the year postion (except 2001 with mario super sunshine), it was all sony and microsoft games.
Now I can't under stand it, but the Wii is actually winning the console wars as of now... Either people keep having children and the number of people playing As some dinosaur with a giant tounge or outnumbering the people playing as a guy in a green suit shooting 8ft tall blue aliens with awsome wepons. Or the rest of america is on Crack.

But you are right about gameplay v graphics jedi I agree with you 100% there...
Thats why The 360 has Amazing Gameplay, and Amazing graphics. The only reason people are buying the Wii is becuase of Zelda twilight princess and few other games, and to use the knum chucks.
But this will not last forever. Becuase of Gears of War and the ever so near halo 3, and as sony has dropped out of the console war, it isnt lookin good for Nintendo.
Oh and is you are wondering why there havnt been any Donkey Kong Or Banjo Kazooie games for a while is becuase Rare (makers of donkey and BK) has gone over to the Line green and white side. And guess what? 2 of the games they've made (the only 2 they've made) have been runner ups for game of the year Kameo (2005)
and Conker live and Reloaded (2001-2002). And you know why?
Becuase the last Star Fox & Donkey Kong games for the gamecube have totally sucked for the gamecube...

@ Jedi and Eagle I want you to list 10 Nintendo games past 1994, that went of the charts on sales? This includes N64 , Gamecube, or the Wii. And ill come up with 10+ list of Xbox and Xbox 360 games...

I saw of people GETTING SHOT by Guns while standing in a line to get a PS3.... They aren't to good. But I'm with Eagle Warrior I love PC Games too. B)

^^ Long tedious and really pointless. Yes halo is one of the top and so are those other types of games. Dont get me wrong I LOVE halo and I have read the books 4 times, but with the sales of the wii its kinda obvious that people are more into nintendo. Yes a lot of the xbox games have become on the top list but it doesnt mean there the best sellers. The big people who rate them like them, but it doesnt mean EVEYONE does or eveyone plays them.

This says the BEST selling franchise is Mario! Yes good old nintendo mario! Zelda is right behind mario with twilight princess coming out. Yahoo says its one of the top games.

Now with xbox and ps3 popularity. Yes there are a few hard core ps3 players out there but most of the buyers are nintendo buyers. You wouldnt think Mario kart is fun cause ur supposidly a hard core killing fan blood gore smash heads ripe out skullz gameer who playes on those types of games. People who play mario kart and those type of games are on crack? Maby if the "Games cause people to kill others and use Social Learning in psycology to do stuff in real life related to games. Tell ya what Mob, let me ask you this: are any of those on that list, any at all, not all about violence? The only ones on that list even half decent are Halo/Halo 2. Other than that, you list games where your objective is to flat out kill something. If that's your thing, great, keep playing your Xbox. However, for people who like playing a storyline, an adventure, they go for Nintendo. I can't imagine why...

The War Room: Top Console-Uchiha5 Edition
Im doing this segment because my freind Next-Gen-Gamer asked me percy99 and hcho3 to work together on this. I hope this becomes popular and something everyone wants to read. Anyway this is mainly about who has the best chance of being the "Top Console" next-gen. Theres still alot we need to know but this is based on what the competition has brought to the table already.

Sony Playstation 3
The PS3 first was introduced at E305. After the all of the CG videos specifically Killzone the PS3 was the most hyped thing on the planet. One thing that was on there mind was can the PS3 really do that. The other thing was how much is it going to cost. TGS came along and MGS4 was shown to the world. It looked like a masterpiece nothing that the 360 has ever shown us and people everywhere thought to themselves that the PS3 is far beyond the power of the 360 and people were actually thinking that Killzone can be done. The last question on everyones minds was, can PS3 live up to the hype?

Well E306 came along and all of our questions were answered. Did Sony show anything that looked like the Killzone trailer. No so were guessing it simply cant be done. How much is it going to cost $500-$600. This will hurt them and will lead to there downfall, but I'll get to that later. Will PS3 live up to the hype. Certainly not. Why, we have an overpriced system that has even less iteresting games then the cheaper systems. PS3 also cam into E3 with a shocker, they put an accelorometer in the PS3 controller. Sounds familiar? It should because Nintendo has an accelorometer in the Wii's nunchuk. This was extremely disapointing for Nintendo and Sony fans alike. Does Kutaragi fear Nintendo? I think the answer to that is yes.

Now that for the real question. What are PS3's chances of being in "Top Console". I think the clear answer is No Chance In Hell. Why, look at the facts. The PS3 is $500-$600. No casual is going to pay for that and I consider myself a hardcore gamer and Im not paying for that. The price of the Wii and 360 combined equals one PS3. Who would pay $600 for one console when they can get two completely unique consoles for $600. All in all Sony shot themselves in the foot with this price. The graphics aren't that far above the 360's. Would you really pay $600 for a console when you can pay $400 for almost the same thing. Sony isn't the exclusive it use to be. Everyday the 360 is getting another game that use to be a Sony Exclusive. Ken Kutaragi. Nough Said. There motion sensing controller is a said imitation of the Wiimote. People who used it is saying that the tilt function is nothing compared to the Wii's tilt function and thats only a small part of the Wii controller. Only pleases the hardcore gamer. The hardcore is the smallest part of the market, you do the math. I could go on and on but I need to get to the better part of the competition.

Microsoft Xbox 360
The Xbox 360 came into the market before anyone else. The had alot of manufacturing problems and a weak lineup of games that were basically current-gen with slightly better graphics. The 360 isn't doing to bad but they need to come out with killer apps already if they plan to reach the 10 million mark by the time PS3 is out. At first I thought that the 360 had no chance at all and it was going to definately be last. As time went by and more things happened I saw the truth.

Microsoft has the best chance of being in 2nd. Why? First fact it is already out. This means lots of people have it and plus developers know how to use the system alot better therefore we get things that look and feel more like next-gen. The 360 already has alot of games that look to be killer apps (Halo 3, Too Human, GTA4, Gears of War). They the two best selling games this gen (GTA, Halo). They make the ultimate combo with Wii. There price isn't that bad and power on the same par as PS3. Which system would you get, great graphics for $600 or great graphics for $400. I think the answer is obvious. Best online service ever. Do I really have to say anymore. Peter Moores all about the games yet he gives you the choice to buy HD-DVD. Unlike Sony Microsoft is letting you decide if you want HD-DVD with your console therefore not making you pay a billion dollars for a gaming console. Microsoft is doing good, now they just have to pull out those killer apps.

Nintendo Wii
Everyone thought that Nintendo was finished and this would be there last Nintendo console. Hell some people thought the PSP would put Nintendo out of the handheld buissness. The world thought that the gaming industry had no room for innovation anymore. People including myself thought that even if someone tried to innovate it would be suicidal. Well the DS proved that innovation can beat graphics so now its the Wii's turn.

When TGS came and Nintendo revealed the controller for the system formerly known as Revolution eveyone thought that Nintendo had gone crazy. Well everyone though that Nintendo was crazy when they made the dual screens, look what happened. Everyone though they were crazy when they though Nintendogs could be a success. Look what happened. I can go on and on about the look what happens but I that would take the rest of the week. As time went on people started to think about what the controller can do and thought, maybe this can be a revolution in gaming.

Now its already a given that I think the Wii has the best chance of winning being that I picke PS3 for last and 360 for 2nd. Why do you ask. The ultimate combo/second consle. The Wii is the ultimate second console and the majority of gamers have two consoles plau theres alot of people who are going to want it as a primary console. Do the math. The Virtual Console. I think the Virtual console is something that can even get my grandmother back into gaming. I know alot of people who know nothing else about the Wii except of its Virtual console and plan on getting it. The price. At $200 you can just buy a console just to try it out. Simplicity. Yesterday I saw my mother playing a game on the computer that was extremely simple. The only thing she was doing was clicking on a tennis ball and trying to make it not touch the groung. I thought how can she be having fun with that so I became curious. Well believe it or not I had fun with it too. Something simple can be fun for everyone but something complicated is fun for only those who know what there doing. Tha tenns game from Wii sports looks to be that game that gets non gamers in. Reaching to every gamer out there. If they get every type of gamer there is and the non with its simplicity then it can be the most successful game console ever. Mario, Zelda, Metriod, SSB close to launch. Do I really need to say more. People want something new. The DS has proved that people want something new and there going to give them something else new with the Wii.

Well thats it. Here are the reasons why I think the console are going to be in this order in terms of success next-gen. I hope you catch my next edition of the War Room.

Lol that is funny! More people get a little 2 excited playing the wii.. I wonder why..... CAUSE THE WII ROXS!!!!!!! :P And yes there are some faults with the wii....the strap "or what I get from what everyone is saying and from ther websites" that it is weaker then what most ppl say.

O well at least it ant some big glitch like the xbox had and the ps3 had. =D
