Yo people, this could have been mentioned before, but I didn't see anything.

You know in BM, where you find yourself charging and firing at an opponent, and the two of you pass each other? You naturally want to turn around, and continue fighting. Stop, turn around, start.

Well, I've adopted something where you keep moving, and turn without stopping. You end up sliding toward your opponent. This presents a slightly harder target to hit, while you have a clear shot of your enemy. (This can be done with a light and medium tank, though not as well with the medium)

Anything to suggest?

The slide works good in scrum for swiping as your opponents radar doesnt register you position as accurately when sliding. Then there is the so called "backflip"

That is my signature move, I've perfected it! Now try shooting them from behind while you sldie (_:

Yeah, so, like, what is the slide. How do you do it? Excuse my newby-ness, but I'd love a description of that move....

Thanks!

Ok, people, you have stumbled upon LC50's sliding tecnique. Goto his site to see that and others

Advantages to the slide:
More mobility options - you can break off the turn and run if you decide you need to or keep turning
Harder target to hit

Disadvantages to the slide:
I think it takes longer to turn around than if you're stationary
harder to aim from a moving turning platform
nearly impossible to reverse direction suddenly

I always do this move its not hard at all then when ur facing them......well......i say use speedy so u get more shots on em

TMO

In a good slide or a arrow slide you have more traction in reverse then forward for some reason.

Hey all,

Just to let you know, this dont work so great on other vets lol ;) for shell, when you pass your enemy, keep your finger on the gas and turn. Aim your reticle in front of the other player and unload a clip into their side. Again, the vets know this move well, and its not as easy to pull on them. Another downside to this is it CAN give your enemy a clear shot at your side if they know how. Its just another tactic that can be used, but its not exactly a sure fire way to avoid the ammo of your enemy. You can experiment with it, good luck.

Wow, I got a nice thread.

The "slide" is a good general move, and I have found out that vets know it quite well. Torture the newbies!

Thanks for the replies.

Sliding is Da Bomb in Scrum, especially non-team -
Gets ya around those campers real nice - head straight at em, then turn out a little and slide around them an to the goal!

This is one of my favorite moves, I learned to do it without accutually trying but it gets me around campers with ease.

One way to implement it is to do a sliding turnright as you go by the camper and the goal and then go forward inot the goal, I don't do that particular one often but it works virtually everytime.

@BLT I learned that the slide is great for hitting a stationary target, like shooting campers, if you get it just right, you can keep them at the center of the perfect circle
