I was able to get one of the stock demo terrains moved into TT from TGE with adding some of the demo files like storm, skies, and the high plains terrains.

I'm not exactly sure if this will go over but, I would like to give it a shot.
I also hope this is not some type of licensing issue either.

With all of the recent terrain additions, Triv, Crapblaster, Napalm, Chineseknife, Nuts, Roo, Dash, Racer, (and I beleive Monkeeman has 20 coming) (Holy crap!))

Here's what I was wondering? Could we take the stock TT data folder and have all of the main players add the TGE specific files and folders to each of their TT data folders?
This would give the modders a great deal more to choose from when creating their TT worlds. It would provide for an enormous amount of combinations of terrain textures. (I'm not asking to add outside shapes like buildings or huts, although the rocks and stuff would be nice.)
It appears to be pretty simple to do and we could set up the official mod pack with everything already set up, including instructions.
This way when players add the mod pack they will be good to go. Everybody would be the same. Then there would be the recent additions folder as Reagent currently has.

So what do you think?

THIS! http://marko.digiterica.com/ThinkTanks/Scenic_Mountains.mov

Also, the link you sent last week about a screen recorder seems to be promising. I've still got a few bugs to work out, but here's a little test I did over the weekend. Scenic Sunday drive in the mountains.

I made TT as small as I could (hence the insanely large radar) and the mod was speedy, but good lord! The movie makes it look like a rocket. Good for a laugh. This is the mod I had up last June BTW.

Here are the pictures I promised from Paradise Island... Hmm looks like I have called it before as Lonely Island. %)

Wandering around on high hill.

Looking to central area of map.

On top of the highest hill in the map.

Looking down to Dark side of map.

Lower at the Dark side.

On shore.

It's has been running since 11:00 (CST) last night. I will probably run it for a few days and then rotate my Siberia, Scorpion Ridge, New Zealand, Bryce Canyon, and Kara Kum Desert mods. I am going to release the modpack MP2 in the next couple of days as well. Then the downloading wait will be minnimized.

Those mods are t't!!! Keep it up napalm!

Wednesday, March 02, 2005 at 8:56:00 AM

I will have instructions for installation for Windows and Mac, I may have a linux user create the routine for that OS as well. I'm not so sure about the Shockwave version of TT. I have not heard many good things about that version, and have never been exposed to it.

Napalm!!! My good Lord.

This is just fantastic..!!

Your creativity in making t.t. Maps is superior to anything I've ever seen this far. Sure, some persons have made some very inventive mod scripts, such as new weapons, tank alterations, etc. Etc, even new "game types", such as the painting wall mod (very original too). BUT, if you are (like me) a person that prefers the standard rule set, with standard fire rate, tanks, speed, etc., then these maps are as far out you can reach, without changing the normal concepts of the game.

Good job, my friend! Thank you for spicing up the game and giving it a vast amount of new graphic themes!!

Kudos, Napalm!

I've played in the maps you are serving, and they're truly awesome. The only thing they need are more people playing them. Keep up the great work!

And, to all the rest of you, get the mod packs and play these maps. It's really great fun!

:) XD

Wednesday, March 02, 2005 at 11:26:35 AM

Thanks guys! I do appreciate it! I'm just finalizing the the last of the mod pack to make it as simple as possible for everyone to enjoy an easy time getting to the servers. The same mod pack (with different instructions) will be distributed for modders. The modders will then have an enormous selection of tools, elements, textures, and skys to create wonderful worlds to explore, shoot other people, and play games in.

Not bad considering I have made 5 maps to date. I'm still learning the program. Things will only get better.

Ideas and themes are certainly welcome. You can always email ideas to me at napalm_tt@yahoo.com

Again, thanks and enjoy.

I was thinking what is a Siberian mod without the snow.

Looked through Max's emittter informationa and added some snow. Nothing special just copied right from Max. Haven't had atime to look into the settings and colors but it's working.
Here's a pic.

EXPANSION PACK IS COMPLETE

Friday, March 11, 2005 at 10:09:05 AM

So when will it be realeased?

Friday, March 11, 2005 at 11:26:32 AM

I have sent my final testing results to a select group of 10 people. Primarily modders and people very involved in the TT community.

If you are interested in testing it as well, email me at napalm_tt@yahoo.com

I will reply with the link and instructions for you to test as well. Once I have more feedback, I will publicly release the mod pack. I'm hoping over the weekend.

Nap!

Just got done looking through the Expansion_Pack.
This should definitely add some new interesting and more diverse new mods to the mix. I haven't had a chance to check out your servers (been on my really-want-to-do list along with too many other things) but they look like a lot of fun. Can't wait to check 'em out!
Great work!

OM

I managed to get in your mods briefly yesterday. But not having the files, the downloads took so long, by the time I dropped in the games were almost over. And since it's on rotation, I had to keep waiting each time.

However, what I saw was VERY impressive. I can't wait to get the full expansion pack.

Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 8:40:00 AM

That is super-cool napalm!!!!! Do u know what day they'll be in the mod-pack? :)

I use multi-billion dollar military satellites to find tupperware hidden in the woods... What do YOU do?

Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 9:36:09 AM

It appears that there have not been any problems as of yet. I will probably release the expansion pack later today or tomorrow. I don't have every version of the game (OS) so, I'm just rying to provide a little more time for those to test the pack. It's early in the weekend yet. Maybe I'll release it tomorrow morning around 9:00 CST.
