Every time I go to look in the forums these two Fruit Loops (Kristoffer/Spartan and J¤€ Ðä mÅñ (ÐÊ/EX/ŠT-c)™) have bumped up some stupid thread.

I think it may be time to bail on PTT.
Talk about boring.

It's too bad this site isn't being maintained. How vast are the moderators' control? Are they able to delete threads and disable the rights for certain users to start new threads, or can they just lock certain threads and delete separate messages?

I agree. Something has to be done. This forum is almost unbearable to use. In fact, I'm often hesitating to read or participate here, because I don't have the time or energy to waste on delving through piles of meaningless threads... :[

I totally agree!! Plus, I need to hire an archeologist to help me read the friggin hieroglyphics!!! ;)

I wish there was some sort of permission per thread or forum. If you don't belong to the team or league, you simply wouldn't be able to post there.

There should be a "Vote to Remove" button.

That would do it.

Yeah - it kinda reminds me of listening to a CB in the 70's........

I can say one thing though - after I showed my wife some of "Joe da Man"s posts, she has stopped bugging me about having children.

I try not to bump too old threads. I think it's annoying, too. Joe does other stuff, in addition, such as spamming and swearing, which I also find annoying.

Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 2:12:02 PM

I have a reading disorder - if your name is not made up almost entirely out of letters from the alphabet, I blank out momentarily --- I usually snap back to reality in the time it takes my glazed eyes to drift down past your post, and I can resume reading the very next post. XD

I seem to suffer the same problem with certain styles of writing in the post themselves. :P

Fortunately it's only temporary, and as far as I can tell, I have not yet missed a single post with anything the least bit interesting in it.

I know in the future we are supposed to heave some hidden threads belonging to special things that you have to be a member of, for example armies, supposed to n the future have armies to be signed up in on ptt and then there are special hiddent threads for those armies, for talk of only them or others with permition to, also I thinked that the person who created each thread should have other powers as in if you the one who created the thread you should be able to delete other posts if they are spamming your thread or not talking about what the thread is about. I also think the creater of the thread should be allowed to delete the thread as well, not just delete his/her own posts.

No V because then if theres some pretty bad spam by a persona nd swearing etc that can be used to silence that person

Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 11:35:18 PM

See, here we go. Off on another topic, talking about them selves in their own microcosm of an existence in PTT.

I love when people spam the threads, telling othere how they don't spam the threads.

Amazing!
