There are three ways that I know of that will help you identify if a player is real or is being impostered. The list will go from best way to less acurate/harder way. NOTE: These will not always be true, because there are always exceptions.

1. The imposter will spam and flame. Most (not all) players do not do much spamming or flamming.

2. The imposter will not play like the real. Most imposters will not be as good as the real player and/or they will not do certain moves that are characteristic of the real player.

3. Get the host of the map to check the IP of the person you suspect of impostering and match it up with someone. IP's don't lie! (This is last because people can change their IP, a lot of impostering is done on shockwave servers, and the hosts of the maps are usually busy people and it is best to try and figure it out on your own first.)

I hope these will help distinguish players from their imposter/imposters and hopefully less fights will break out on PTT and TT.
