Goose Island Root Beer

I like any of the Goose Island Beers, but 'Honker's Ale' is probably my favorite. Didn't know they made a root beer.

Anchor Steam's Liberty Ale

Tuesday, September 06, 2005 at 10:58:28 AM

I usually drink Chianti, but if I do drink beer it's a pint of Guiness in the can. No bottles, blah.

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.

Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.

Anchor Steam is good.

My fave right now is Pike Street Stout from the Pike Street Brewery in Seattle.

I also like Fat Tire. My all time favorite went out of business.8(

Tuesday, September 06, 2005 at 11:18:25 AM

Virgil's Root Beer is really good, recently supplanting Thomas Kemper for the top spot on my root beer list.

KC

My favorite is out of CA, but no longer being distibuted to MN. It's called MacClausen Oatmeal Stout. Red/black label. Dark as tar, w/a brown head. Made w/imported English hops/choclate malt, and just enouph oats to smooth to perfection. Yes, if you filled your tubby w/this brew, you'd finally be able to "walk on water"...Black water. B)

Tuesday, September 06, 2005 at 12:36:38 PM

LaBatt's Blue, or Leiney's Honeyweiss.

Tuesday, September 06, 2005 at 1:11:34 PM

I would NOT drink beer...
I may try wine some day...

But my fave sort of fizzy, in a can, mouth watering tango! Orange flavor! :P

Tuesday, September 06, 2005 at 1:23:21 PM

The one in my hand!

Tuesday, September 06, 2005 at 1:40:02 PM

Guiness!!!!!! Go with the irish bro... Not that I have had any ;)

Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.

Tuesday, September 06, 2005 at 1:52:38 PM

Guiness is great. Also a big fan of Boulevard Bully Porter and Pale Ale.
I think I'll pick up a sixer tonight!

Tuesday, September 06, 2005 at 2:07:17 PM

Molson, Guiness, and Fosters!!!! Canada, Ireland, and Australia are three countries that know how to drink. I like Molson for the high alcohol, guiness for the flavor, and fosters for the humongous aluminum cans they come in ;).

Tuesday, September 06, 2005 at 2:15:51 PM

My favorite is budweiser. When im at my friends I drink beer (dont tell my parents) :S :S

Tuesday, September 06, 2005 at 2:55:46 PM

Coopers Pale Ale.

^^ FYI - Fosters is mainly exported, hardly anyone drinks it in Australia, but when people visit here they always ask for a fosters.... The barman will usually say "piss off , have a VB (vic bitter)"

Tuesday, September 06, 2005 at 5:25:25 PM

Bud light is my staple. But when for a change of pace I love Beck's dark and of course Guiness!! Black and tans good too. I love a glass of Ky bourbon on the rocks too!!

Tuesday, September 06, 2005 at 5:28:40 PM

Ahhh, Memphis. I'm from Wisc. And Leinies Red, Honey Weiss, Doppelbock are great. I could go on but I'm getting thirsty. Good beers all. I now live in the Northeast and must make do with Sam Adams Boston Lager and the occasional Geary's or Shipyard.

Tuesday, September 06, 2005 at 5:29:17 PM

Miller light, had a little bit of it once, so that's all I can say I guess? I wouldnt drink otherwise, I just had it once, enough for me!

Tuesday, September 06, 2005 at 5:32:38 PM

Mine would probably be Vodka or Pale Ale!! Im 14 but I drink all the time when im hanging with ma bros! I get drunk a lot too!!!

This brewery is Australia's oldest brewery, and they make some nice beer, especially their stout.

Pilsner: traditionally, a premium pale lager with a classic gold color. Its bouquet is flowery and fragrant. The palate is soft while the finish is dry and hoppy. The Pilsener style of beer was founded in 1842 in the Bohemian brew town of Pilsen. It quickly won renown and was imitated throughout the world. This style is especially popular in Germany, where a slightly hoppier version is produced. In America, the term Pilsener is falsely used to denote any golden colored beer. While the watered down mass produced version is loosely based on the classic Pilsener, it is not a Pilsener

Good Pilsners are out there, but so are cruddy versions. I like the darker beers myself, though.

@scy- check this out http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5756809/?GT1=4529 . This bear likes beer. (I live not far from there...)

Sunday, September 11, 2005 at 9:37:54 PM

@scy

U must be a girl... Pilsner sounds like something
a pu-$$-ie would drink.

Guinness is the nectar of the beer gods...

Ps

Pardon my french.

I hate beer.....
I love Ouzo!!!!!!!!!

Monday, September 12, 2005 at 1:37:04 AM

It's all about the hops baby! To understand what I'm saying just pick up a six of Anchor Liberty Ale. If you can finish a six of this stuff, well, take a before and after picture of your chest. You'll see what I mean.

My favorite beer is the homebrew I make myself. I'd describe it as a beer liquer. Hops, hops, and more hops.

A tip for you hefeweisen (wheat beer) drinkers: don't order that stuff in a biker bar unless it's for your lady. ;)

Ahhh basically anything Sprecher beer or soda.

@ Vash: ur about to get Ass Kicked by a girl mate XD. No seriously, I think u are a classic American ;). "Just drink, don't look at what is inside of it!"

U don't want me to tell how a 'normal' american looks like XD

-Scy

[EDIT: T-34: When I come, I ll bring some bottles (if that is alright with that Bush guy ;) ). Then we ll see who drinks water next time :)]

[EDIT: @ Vash:

U must be a girl... Pilsner sounds like something
a pu-$$-ie would drink.

Pilsner is the best beer ever all other people who make beer (don't know the name sorry ;) ). Tried to make it like that, never worked!

BTW taste is more important. Next time u say something say

U must be a girl... Pilsner tastes like something
a pu-$$-ie would drink.

END OF EDIT]

@ BC- right on! Hops are key. Good hops make the difference between carbonated piss and a great beer. That's the bite in the beer... Good barley helps too. You make me want to dig out the brew kit.

Scythe- I know what you mean. The bulk american beers are just pitiful. The best lagers and pilsners aren't usually made in millions of gallons.
