Curious if anyone could make a radar mod that would allow you to visualize the 'elevation' of the scrum ball. Here's what I'm thinking:

A normal-sized radar dot would represent the ball at ground level. Dot would increase and decrease in size in correlation with it's elevation when it bounces. For example, if you're carrying the flag and hit a bounce pad, the dot would slowly get larger as you rise....reach a maximum size at your apex...and then begin shrinking as you come back towards the ground.

I'd love to be better able to judge where someone is going to land when trying to intercept a carrier coming down after hitting a bounce pad.

Make sense?

Can it be done?

@44
Awesome idea! TT2 should include that! I will pass it on to the developers. I keep a list of all the best suggestions for TT and send it to them on ocassion (Pokemale encourages it). While they can't afford to incorporate all of the ideas, they do in fact do their best to add what they can.

For example, speaking of improving the radar, I would also love it if they could make the flag dot much bigger than everything else so it will stand out more and help identification time a great deal. Also, I wish there was a way to indicate obsticles in your path for those of us who prefer to drive backwards! Don't you hate it when you think you're homefree and then slamming into a boulder or tree all of a sudden? Ouch!!! Sure, memerization comes in handy but since we have new mods all of the time I think we need a way to identify objects in our path...perhaps a different color dot or x. Also, identify where the arrow and jump pads are on a map on radar.

Bolo and LilAlienD have done some great work with the radar skins and increasing its size. I forget where it is on ptt.
Can someone post the link to the files and instructions for those who haven't changed their radar?

Good idea 44...

What I would like to see is an option in-game to adjust radar size (1x, 2x, 3x, 4x) and adjust dot size.

Good idea, but 1 prob. Mods. If they are higher then the scrum might be huge all the time. But for normal maps, great idea!!!

Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.

I have 3x installed on my computer and 2x installed on others. Greatly improves playing!

I'd like it so that the radar can have people's names or initials on it.

Ya... See the problem is that TT currently doesn't have a wide enough range in scripting possiblities. This is my owne oppinion, but there really isn't another genuine script idea out there... :(

^ agree!

I believe that he should get an auto-locker: for better aiming, so he kills a bit. And a buble arround his tank so no1 can take the scrum off nor kill him. There is only 1 problem remaining, how the hell do u expect him to get to that scrum! XD

How bout a radar wich shows elevation of all tanks? Same as with the scrumball one, the higher a tank goes, the larger the dot. This way u could tell if someones diving at u or if u r gonna shoot up or down and if someones flyin in a UFO or bouncing. And if someone falls in the fog, their dot becomes smaller and smaller and disappears if they die. This way u can tell if someone is cliffhanging or if someone u pushed into the fog is climbing back up. ;) ;) ;) B) B) XD :)

Edit: and the dots could have little initials of wich player they r.

That would be the ultimate radar usually found only in fighter sims, only without BVR missile launching systems. ;)
