Page : <1> :

I'm putting together a new eBook called "ThinkTanks for Dummies" that will try to cover everything a noobie and even a veteran needs to know about our grand ole game. Please feel free to contribute whatever you can to the project. I will give you credit as a contributing editor. I will write mostly for the scrum and team scrum chapters but I would still like help from vets like Bolo, Reagent X, Tally Ho, etc. Etc. I especially need help for battlemode, team battlemode, capture the flag and solo play. I will also have a chapter on skins and one for modding...so chime in on those subjects if you can.
I could also use a graphical artist to help with some images (checkout the awful cover page I made as proof..heh heh).

I will have a section on websites related to tt too... Ptt being the best one of course. I will get permission to use some of its content of course.

Stay tuned for ThinkTanks for dummies!!! Sure wish I had it when I started in March 2004.

Send emails to thepaissano@yahoo.com with anything you want to contribute to the book.

Here are the chapters planned so far:
Introduction to TT
Types of Games
Scrum
Team Scrum
Battlemode
Team Battlemode
Capture the Flag
Skins
Modding
TT Websites
History of the Game
TT Players (Biographies, interviews, photo's, etc.)

Wow Pai -- now that's ambition! I look forward to a read.

@44
you will be the expert contributing editor when it comes to stupid tank tricks (ala David Letterman's hilarious segment, Stupid Pet Tricks). No one can do the stuff that fo fo does with his tank. You just get better with time, bro. Memphizzle is another magician.

Great idea!

I tried to use 44's tip service, but it was way over my head. It kept talking about how you need to "achieve synergism with the scrumming paradigm." Then there was like 5 pages on the "existential realities of camping." Okay.... Seriously fo fo, what the..??

Anyway, I got confused, and my game didn't improve. This dummies book looks like something I could use. Perhaps a chapter on scraping off the rust?

^I dont get u.

Hey paisano, u forgot a section for the tanks and maps! And Bumping should be added as a gametype.

U should include these tanks:

Light Tank :)
Medium Tank :)
Heavy Tank :)
BabyBoss :)
Boss UFO :)
Jeep XD
AdminTank Cruiser XD XD
Light Skull Tank B)
Medium Skull Tank B)
Heavy Skull Tank B)

The SkullTanks r only in Xbox so u have to find out from 56k LagMan. 8o

But there r too many maps and its confusing with new mods every day. X/ U could include the originals, the various castles and some other few mods. ;)

Great Idea! XD I'll have to buy a copy ;)

I use multi-billion dollar military satellites to find tupperware hidden in the woods... What do YOU do?

I will save the book in pdf format and update it as we go... Might take a long time to really complete first edition.
It will always be a work in progress...

Adobe Acrobat is the best PDF composer but it can cost $400.
Here's a free version... CutePDF
You work in Word and print it to PDF file. Works great.
