...or you could set the floor to -100 and double the area of the map in the mission file.

But if your new which I think you are (considering you don't know this already) I'll simplify it some more.
Go to your Missions file in the contents of your TT game (TT/game/data/missions).
In your Missions file there should be the files you wish to change (if you were a modder and you wanted to change the fog damage on a mod, then the file name would be MW#_#.mis(if you haven't already set the file up on the actual game, then you're on your own))(if you wish to change an already made mission that came with the mission packet, i.e. Medulla Mesa, Receptor Ridge, etc., it would be something along the lines of: TT#_#.mis) and inside those files would be alot of wrighting....
************MAKE SURE YOU ONLY CHANGE WHAT I TELL YOU***************
...., in that writing there should be a sort of paragraph (i.e. Datablock) that would look along the lines of this:

new MissionArea(MissionArea) {
area = "-256 -256 512 512";
flightCeiling = "200";
flightCeilingRange = "0";
floor = "95";
locked = "false";
In this paragraph change the floor to anything from 0-TO-1000000000000000000000000000*goes on forever*.
Then depending on how large your level is, change the area to>>>>"-512, 1024, 2048, etc.(choose one of the numbers to the statistics---higher equals longer no hurt range, lower equals smaller),-512, 1024, 2048, etc. *a multiple of the previous number by 2* *a multiple of the previous number by 2*"
Make sure the area in the qoutes is the only part you change!
And before you do this make sure you make a copy of the file you are changing so that you can replace it if something goes wrong.

^ Good advice, but I still say run some water. The sound of running water always help me pee in the fog.
