This is almost a farewell to this community. Imposters, hate mail, bad attitude, and just bad people have caused me to stop playing as often. I will still be around, but I will play very rarely. Sadly, I have to agree with you...... I have already nearly dropped out of the game, I might come on and play one or two games every other night or so, but even those feel empty.....

Sigh.

As I responded in the other thread, Mark , you seem very tired, and also very disillusioned with the "community". If this is the case then you should take a break. Hey if it no longer fun then there is a world of other things to get involved in.

I do think the "community" is somewhat what you make it though. I do not feel that I have to either read every post, or respond to every thread. I do not feel I need to take ownage of or be personally drawn into every social melodrama that develops in these forums.

But that is just me. We are all different. Different expectations and different levels of involvement.

That said I have met some incredible people here. Some I consider good friends even though I have only communicated with them through the game or via email.

Some I have now actually met in the flesh. That is a remarkable event! Nothing virtual about munching chips salsa and huaraches with a Think Tank buddy.

When I recently shared a personal family tragedy with my Psycho scrum team I received an amazingly warm outpouring of support. My fellow herd opened up in some very deep and personal ways. I was touched. They provided solace in a time of need. That was real.

Perhaps most importantly I still get a real kick out of this game.

Just the past couple nights I have had some great games. Fun, zany, fast action, humorous commentary - all that makes this game so great.

Still gung ho after all this time!

I should agree with you all. In August of 2003, before I quit TT for 3 months, the imposters, campers, divers were still pretty bad._{not to mention anonymous was around...} But now, its even worse._{and adapt (CI) really makes it better....} Unless ive never seen the worst of imposters, divers, campers, bad players, etc. But I dont plan to leave right now.

Sorry to hear, but I feel the same way too. The other day, not mentioning, any names, a certain good player of scrum was "claiming" that you were a cheat because you get a good fire rate in normal servers. Then the game pretty much stopped, and it seemed everyone wanted to debate this topic.

Jealousy, cowards, and senseless bickering is what kills the game too. Let's just all play the game, and have fun along the way.

-I only play team games anymore. I try to stay out of games with noobs and idiots. I like vets vs vets competition only. The leagues are about the only good games these days.

This seems to happen about every three months. Like always, it will blow over. I don't get a chance to play as often, but it is still an absolute blast when I do. Of course, I generally just stick with Team Scrum games (preferably on maps other than Lush). You think there are bad attitudes here? Heh, Halo had a very short life-span on my system. Now THOSE were some bad attitudes online. Seriously, this is probably one of the best communities you'll find online. You just don't realize it until you start playing other games. Either they lack a community feel at all, or they are full of shmucks.

A Glorified ChatRoom

I played 1 game tonight, under the name Devils Gantry. It was a fun game, and helped prove all you guys examples. I still don't like it enough to play regularly, but I will still play occasionally and I will finish up Pyshoscrum.
