1st International ThinkTanks Convention

(Dec 13, 2004, TORONTO) In an incredible convergence of technology and gaming talent, an impromptu TT Convention was declared today in a suburban basement in Toronto. Jangles and Reagent X hooked up and did some serious online TT complete with several Macs, multiple digital video cameras and many pleasing refreshements.

Here we are masterminding the future of ThinkTanks:

And we're only getting bigger. This mutation is beyond our control. Can you say East Coast vs. West Coast? Multiple G5's, dedicated servers, 0 Ping, 0 Lag? Annual Conventions? Luxury hotels, hot babes and gambling?

This impromptu, first-ever, INTERNATIONAL conference is just the beginning.

Yeah F*** that. Corey and I will fly out somewhere for a week with our newly aquired titanium powerbooks and rip some TTs up w/ people.

Shit… pretty soon we'll have a brand new office set-up w/ fat lines in the building, 2 DP G5s, our 2 powerbooks, I'll bring in my G4 iMac and iBook and we'll be ready to go :) The office will be in Baltimore looking out over the Harbor too :) :)

I have an idea...

Put all those filming cameras to a switcher, then output all the cameras to the TV. This way people can watch the game from different screens!

I need to get one of those mac laptops. Sometimes the designers let me play with theirs. The thought that they have a unix core now gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Maybe we should have the next TT con in chicago. I think there are 4 TT players close to there and I can make it to chicago in 4 or 5 hours. I would have to clear it with the SWMBO (love that acro sluggy), and that could be hard.

^ I've been looking for a reason to get out to Chicago myself :) :) (our new laptops get here mid-Jan so anytime after that would be perfect)

Hmmm Chicago, thats about an hour an and fourty five minutes for me by train. Which will also mean another entry into the wifes "Why I get the house and kids" black book. Ah well, it's almost full anyways, I am In!

Actually I live near Berkeley, CA. Let's hear it for the West Coast!! I have relatives in Toronto and come here several times per year. Chatting late one night in the MonkeeMods recently we decided to hook up and do a TT blast session. Woooot! Was a grand time indeed! Thanks J for the Northern hospitality!

There are many Bay Area tankers I know of, and there must be many more out there. Can you say simultaneous west and east coast TT conventions? B)

Awww, cmon, you had me thinking that you were within 50 miles of me... :( but still... Where will the east coast convention be? VA? NC? SC? GA?

I know this all started in jest but it sounds kinda fun. If time and location was right, Herc and I might be up for a convention. It's about time everyone saw how pretty we are! LOL Chicago is pretty central although I would prefer someplace where there wasn't so many yankees. Memphis or Nashville would be great.
