This problem seemed to arise today. No matter which server I attend, my own, shockwave, or any others my connection seems to flash on and off. The lag will come in short bursts so often that I can tell when the next bomb is coming. About every second there is a burst of lag that is so frickin' annoying! I don't know what's going on, but I tried unplugging the connection so it might reset the reuter; it didn't help at all. Help please... :(

Any other computers in the house - was someone else busy?
Do you have any file share programs? - Kazaa etc?
Whens the last time you did a Spy-bot scan?
How about viruses - full anti virus scan?
Also check your cables and connections - both the coaxial and the cat 5

No other comps.

I have this problem
this has to do with your ISP
my ISP is verizon and my internet "hiccups" every once and a while, it even goes entirly out when it rains
possibly your ISP is fixing something or doing something along the power lines your internet is on etc
could be anything, talk to your ISP

I have concast, I think. Problem's fixed anyway... :P

Warefare may be right, but then again mabey not I had the same prob my comp enternet would drive me crazy, look at the back of ure comp check that the internet is plugged in right it might be that, if the cable is not hooking on right u might need to buy a new one.U could just contact ISP like warfare said. Go ahead and try those things out :) XD ;).

*EDIT* my ISP is AOL and I contacted them and they gave me a XPSP2 patch (type that in keywords for download) I have a P.C. With windows XP service pack 2. Just putting this for peeps who may have the same problemo! If you are contact your ISP provider B)
