People dear friends well I always played with 220-230 ping and I step by step learn how to do my best with that,now I dont know why or how it happened but I have 300- 289 ping and thats hard to play well,some time I have even333p plz if anyone can help ,well anyway ill see you in the scrum which is also a name I use (scram). like Stan or maybe your on dialup?
Anyways
1 make sure no file sharing programs are running
2 no auto updates either
3 ask your ISP to do a tracert (trace route) with you to determine how best to connect you
(you need the master server ip)
4 play during off peak hours
5 reboot cable/dsl modem and computer

Ask Boomboom. He's checked it once too. I use a 250kbps broadband which replaced my 48kbps dialup. Some servers dont work but Dash Bash and goodfellas do. :) Dialups never imagine high pings. :o Whats your average ping, rooster?

When I go to dashes its about 40
At Leps about 60
West coast servers vary from 75 to 115

250kbps explains alot but your ISP can do better!
Email or call the help desk and tell them you game online
and ask them about tracert (trace route) They can tune up your connection

What? I don't get you. My pings reached a high of 997 and a low of 396 and I'm fine with that. 512 is medium and my ping is usually between 600 and 800. I don't want anything more than that, it's fine as it is cause most people have pings from 100 to 300. Oh yeah, I checked and its not a 250kbps Broadband. Its a 100mbps D-link DSL. See my post in general forum about extreme ping.

Question! When you say ping do you mean you go into DASHBASH and type /ping Disturbance?
Or are you talking some other number?
No one has ever reported so high a number and said the game played well.
Witty is in the mid 200s and still looking for improvement

Hey 56K or DanMac can anyone shed some light on this mystery

I've went to goodfellas, goodfellas 2, Dash Bash and The Great Battle and typed /ping Disturbance. It always comes from 400-800 and the game plays fine in these servers as well as others. I have no problem with the game performance, just im surprised at the ping. It always shows other ppls ping when I type /ping NAME to be normal inbetween 100 and 300.
