If you've played with me recently you may have noticed that I do not lag out as I used to. I used to have I wireless connection, but I changed it to dial-up hoping it would improve my connection. It did..... Sort of. I don't lag out anymore, but my ping is higher. I used to be around 230s and now im in 280s or sometimes 300s. My speed is faster now by 4K. Anyone got a take on this? 8o

A lag out is a complete disconnect for seconds at a time. Wireless is subject to interference from other high frequency electronic devices that could lag you out. Using the dial-up modem cable instead is more reliable and should prevent lag outs.

Thats why I have Airport disabled on my iMac and use the Ethernet option instead.

I use wireless when I'm at home, and lag is a huge problem. It's pretty unpredictable, and cuts out at the worst time... ^ I hate that symbol :S

That symbol is anathema to me XO
