How about pok-a-tok. I would always be on the winners side.
You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

Scripters - modders listen up
Here is the concept giving freely by an overworked dirty bird
Create a bowl shaped terrain with a flat bottom
Put a fence around the inner ring with 2 openings
Set a lap counter to work in the clockwise direction only
Set the game to use the scrum flag and score at the finish
Yay!
Blockers - runners - slammed off the map
Yay! Roller derby in tanks
