Well, it looks like Microsoft has done the COMPLETELY unexpected and is gonna be using PowerPC processors in it's upcoming new gaming system.

Ya see even MICROSOFT knows that the PowerPC is better XD

Who said it's going to be a game system? They are releasing it as a Media Center!

I love PowerPC's, however, I like AMD chipsets more. But they will never use AMD.

They didn't just give in, but they went all out. The thing apparently has 3 dual core G5 processors in it. Yowza.

Man I can't wait to see what TT looks like on that bad boy. XD

I'm very glad that Microsoft has (in a distant way) admitted that the processors that run Apple's sytems are better than the processors that run Microsoft systems. :)

your absolutely right, they're not made my macs, but they are the core of the Mac system and has been for years. Now microsoft is at it again first duplicating the Mac OS and now using it's traditional hardware.

You'll have to let me think about that for a sec...he would still have to pick up the income when exercised the options or sold the stock. Depending on how the deal is structured it may or may not be ordinary income...quite likely some of it is capital gain. I'll get back to you...

Somewhat back on topic, it's official, Nintendo 'Revolution' will also be using PowerPC processors and graphics chips from ATI. I haven't found to many specifics but they note that they will remain focused on better game play, better graphics, quicky processing and loading, and a more user friendly machine. Unlike Microsoft who seems like gaming is their second thought to the 360.

I heard the Xbox 360 will be $1500. And the PS3 will be even more. I can just hope the next Nintendo system will be in the hundreds.

Lol, I really liked that rock. I think I swore each and every time I hit that thing.

Is there any ETA for TT on XBOX.? Even though I plan on waiting for Xbox360 to come out. Just think it would be fun playing TT with others that have the same hardware as I.

Is there going to be a TT2 for macs and pcs? Maybe an updated version of TT with the new tanks and other "enhancements".

There is absolutely NO WAY they're going to attempt to sell a game system for $1,500. A third of that at the most. Even if Microsoft is trying to be 'more then a game system', it's still a gaming system and they have to appeal to that market to get the thing in the door. As much as I dislike Microsoft, I can atleast admit that they're not dumb enough to put a $1,500 price tag on the Xbox.
